I enjoy the videos of Leonard and his horses. It gives me a better appreciation of how chores were done during my father's youth. Some day it was a simpler time but I think there is unappreciated effort on what it takes to harness and team the horses.
Jen thanks for bearing bearing the cold to get out there and see the horses in action it's always fun to see the horses instead of tractors that newest horse that he has gotten sure has come a long way one heck of a beautiful animal.
Thank you for the interesting video. It's nice to see horses working and how life was 100 years ago. We enjoy the videos of the milking process. All your videos are informative and family oriented.
Great video Jen. Sure love to watch him work with his team. Leonard does a great job. Hopefully one of your kids will take interest in the horses. Part of history that hopefully never gets lost .
This was a neat video. I was just a little kid when my dad and grandpa with grandpas brother would feed loose hay to about three hundred head. We would hay stacks all over the meadow. They would pull up to a stack after the gate was down and load a big load of hay. Several of them. I am ashamed to say that I let the horses take a yelling at for pulling out while they were still loading. Uncle Frank would always drive. While they were loading I wanted to see if they would pull forward if I made the same clicking sound my uncle Frank did when he wanted them to go. Guess what they did. And uncle Frank was pissed. Yelling at them and backing them up. I was scared of uncle Frank.
Tks for sharing. It's always nice to see Leonard. He's a man full of Horseman ship. Horses are so beautiful to see. Gald to see the the update on the Eagle.
You are very calm and your horse listen and a great team, you can be proud! We lare in north Québec, Canada. We have snow, snowman and snow! I discover ver your chain with pleasure! Good evening from the north!
Dude, Thanks for your time putting these videos together ! Tracks hell yes on last video. The assholes saying shit well you proved them wrong. Well done!🍻
True four wheel drive horsepower, 😊 Hi Jen and family, hope you guys are doing and getting a lot of milk out. I heat with an outdoor wood stove as well for nearly 20 years, saved a fortune but it doesn’t seem to be in the bank, but I do have more power tools in the shed. 😁 take care🇨🇦👍🚜❤️
Seeing your daughter along reminded me of my granddaughter. She was about the same age when I let her drive my old team for the first time. Her great grandfather on the other side was 101. She told him she drove a team of horses. He chuckled and said “tractors were sure nice”
i saw those balsam trees into framing lumber great 2x4s and 2x6s used to send trailer loads to canada to be sawed and sent back to us marked spruce fir when i was logging for int paper
They are so interesting to watch. Glad Prince has bounced back from his earlier problem and thanks so much for the update on the eagle. Hope it returns to the wild in good health. We are fairly cold today, about 8 degrees right now at 3:30 and supposed to get down to -2 tonight, but I would be willing to bet you are much colder. We had about 6 inches of wet snow that settled to about 4. What did you get with this latest storm?
Leonard explained that yes, it is a bit of piddling around feeding the round bale out by hand, but Prince, who's only 2, needs to be worked every day while he's being trained. This way Leonard gets hay fed out and gets Prince worked. Working horses isn't at all about saving fuel, but the fact that Leonard enjoys it. There are also plenty of times that the horses can do something that a tractor can't.
These 2 horses are better disciplined than most people
I always enjoy watching Leonard working with his horses, they are such beautiful animals and well trained.
That young horse is doing really good, they learn a lot doing chores every day.
You can tell that Prince is really inpatient. He definitely wants to keep working. We really enjoy seeing Leonard work his teams.
Yes, he always says the most important thing a horse needs to learn is to be patient and wait.
I love watching the horses 🐎 may God bless all of you In Jesus name Amen 🙏 🙏
Thank you. Excellent camera work. That is beautyful green hay. ❤❤.

Watching and listening to the horses work is very relaxing.

Just proves there is room on every farm for a team.

One thing about it! Them Horse tractors always start when it's Cold lol...
Yeah that's for sure!
Beautiful horses. It’s amazing how well people can get horses to do what they want just by using their voice. I love draft horses. God bless
So many memories...
Horses are what actually what made farming back in the covered wagon days before tractors were even invented
O cavalo muito bonito lindo 👍👍🐴🐴

Nice looking Percheron
Horses , Thank you. (Me, Dad Horses 12-14 ,Michigan)

We got up to 0 today and they are talking a low of -9 tonight. I'd say we maybe got 3 inches of snow, but it was very light and fluffy.
@@trinitydairy Thanks
👍👍👍👍👍
Drafts dont fully mature till 5 yrs of age. In that time their joints, bones are slowly developing.
Working Horses with Jim is another Channel that uses Horses, might be worth checking out for Your Family and other Viewers.
Yeah, we watch Jim all the time.
Moving loose hay, oooof,
make it a bit easier for yourself with a 3 tine hay fork.
Lighter weight & easier to swing.
You oughta sell that percheron to Jim in NY.
😂. I think Jim has his fill. Lol
👍👌❤🇨🇦
Every hour working the horses saves , what 4 dollars in fuel?!! If you have too peddle with the round bales too much you defeat their purpose ?

Jeepers long video.
Can't win. Some people like short videos, and some people like the long ones.
@@trinitydairy I know you can't please everyone. I'm a subscriber and I really like the channel.
Great video. Keep up the good work. Great entertainment for a cold day.
