Amazing is RIGHT!! Look at you GO! I know the feeling- can't believe I'm enjoying running spurts, What?!? How exciting about your museum meet up! Proud of you for pushing yourself outside your comfort zone. I'm doing the same this year- I think it's important. Can't wait to hear about your adventures
"I plan on making this year the year of things I never thought I would do." Love this! :D I have an underwater MP3 player/ear buds too and LOVE mine as well! It really does make it SO much less boring, haha. You are doing SO well. 20 pounds to go is just amazing. Wish *I* could throw you a party after that 5K! :) Have fun on your date!!! I am so proud of how brave you're being. You're awesome!
+VSGinny Awwww, you are really the best cheerleader there is. I mean that sincerely. You have such a good spirit inside of you that you can't help but pass it around, and we all appreciate it. Thanks for the awesome support!
Hey Amy! Looking great! Nice loss! Wow, great run!! Underwater ear buds? Is that for your underwater basket weaving course? j/k :p Good luck on the date. Body image issues are common for us.. you know that.. just go with the flow. It's not easy... being green...(oops, sorry) Good luck with the vitamins. You're right about how we think we are on the right track, just to be told otherwise. Doh! Keep up the good work!!
EVERYONE feels nervous on a date, especially in regards to how they look, so all is normal. Hope you have a good time! I'm off to aquafit now, because tunes + pool = FUN. I'd love to see some recipe videos, particularly any weekday quick breakfast ideas. Most brekkie seems to focus around c a r b s , so any protein ideas are welcome! p.s. I went to a couple of weight loss surgery groups this week, so I'm feeling less bummed out. Plus, a random day of restriction has bought some well needed scale-based results. (Thank the lord!)
+Beyond Rubenesque Thanks, sweetness. I am so glad you are in the pool - I am a big fan of fun. Also happy you are seeing results on the scale - I know you have been working hard for them!
Good luck on your date! Even though I'm married, I know what it's like to have body image issues make it difficult to date and even be with a significant other. At times when I was heavier I had trouble getting in the mood with my husband who really always found me sexy, because I didn't feel sexy. Don't focus on how he perceives you, instead focus on having a good time. The goal is not to make him like you, because after all, you need to like him too. Relax and enjoy yourself!
+VSG For The Real Me Thanks for the advice, I really tried to take it to heart, and the date seemed to go pretty well. I sure hope you are feeling better these days, been thinking about you!
is there anything you would change about the surgery? do you feel normal? oh did they take out your gallbladder during this.. I would be having the surgery for different reasons. thank you for taking the time to reply.
Hi Lindsey, so sorry for the very late reply. I do feel pretty normal, although I still struggle with seeing myself as I actually look. I think that just takes time. I also eat and live pretty differently than I did pre-op, so I am still adjusting to my "new normal" so to speak. But it is going pretty well so far. My surgeon did remove my gallbladder at the same time as my DS, because he found a gallstone during my pre-op testing. I wish you the very best with your process!
I will throw you a cyber parade Proud of you for dating... I don't see the loose skin on your neck ( I know you prob do ) remember you are your own worse critic as for the hair .....wear a hat :-) I am sure the person you are dating is going to see the BEAUTIFUL person you are inside and out I am going to miss your weekly updates I would be interested in your cooking videos
+Tranquility road Thanks Tranquility. You are right, I really am my own worst critic. I had a good date, so we will see how things go! Feels weird to be dating though... LOL.
I think anything we do out of our comfort zone (dating) feels weird ( thats why it is not in our comfort zone) go with the flow Everything you are feeling is normal Soon it will be part of your comfort zone
