I was also adopted as an infant. It really angers me when adoptive parents turn out to be abusive/neglectful…seems they have a greater responsibility to love and nurture the child.
Hi Minini, I agree I had a friend that was adopted and thought her parents would love her to bits. They did not. I could not understand that either. I also have a disabled friend that did not get the love from her mum as her able-bodied sister got. P.S sorry to see again here the spammers using this as an advert for their porn or music.....
25 and off to rehab in a week and it's inspiring hearing all these amazing stories, and it's giving me more confidence to put my all into it for a better future
Most people with addiction have had some sort of mental, sexual or physical abuse as a kid. These people need love and support, regardless of the drugs they choose to take to cope with their traumas. I’m so sorry you were let down by the sick and twisted adults in your life Marvin, you’re an worthy and you’re loved.
Really like this guy, followed him since he's been on the Real Porridge channel. Brutally honest and you can tell he's a decent human being, just had a rough start in life like a lot of us. Plus He is 100% the best Marvin on You Tube!! Haa, Top stuff.👍
I know I don’t know you or anyone and I’m not judging anyone but I really don’t think the majority have had a ‘’roughy start to life’’ like he has. Hell, the man was raped and domestically abused. Bless him for his life and other victims whose stories aren’t even out there.
Adam , me too you feel if you met him you would be meeting a real nice guy and his partner is the same if you watch her story on the Real porridge . Look what the ex prison warden said about him proves Marvin is a decent human being with a very sad life that he’s turned around , when he speaks of his poor teenage mum having to give him up it breaks your heart for them both

You can unequivocally say, this man never failed. We failed him. None of this should have happened to him. He remained good and fought for a better life through the most harrowing of circumstances. There are movies made of real life heroes who never fought harder or triumphed more than this man has. The heart of a lion.
It's like these people are searching for an escape. Who could blame them for turning to that, even though it's the worst thing you could do. In those situations where is your way out? You need a miracle or strong, determined will to escape. My heart goes out to all addicts. These people need all the help and love in the world.
My past drug addiction was a terrible time in my life, a huge setback for me, but I also see how it has helped me, especially in raising my daughter and helping her deal with life’s issues. The thing about going through all he has experienced, is the wisdom that comes with it IF you see the lesson in it. I hope he uses it to be a great father. He has potential to be someone’s hero.

Well done on your sobriety, just keep at it, day by day..I'm 15 years from heroin & crack, as you know it takes work and its a mental health nightmare in itself before we even begin to tackle our reasons for using. I find meditation helps me.
This poor guy didn't have a chance as a kid. He's definitely a sharp and intelligent guy whose been through hell...I hope he stays clean and can begin to heal from his severe childhood trauma. God bless you brother ! I'll pray for you.
This is the kinda guy I could take to the pub and listen to his life, introduce him to people and help him regain a sense of worthiness. His voice is so peaceful with a sense of love and caring to it. I could listen to him for a long time. I dont like judging people in general without knowing them, nor criitsising, however, this guy has had it harder than I have, but i can relate to some of his problems. I went through the same too. Blessed be to the guy. Much respect for turning his life around after what hes been through.
The turmoil and confusion and distress this poor guy suffered as a young child would flatten the majority of us even as adults. No wonder he felt unable to process and cope with his emotions. My heart goes out to him, no kid should ever have to feel that way. So many beautiful qualities and so much to offer, buried deep underneath all of that pain. Glad he made it thru- and somehow managed to become the wonderful wise man he is today despite the odds. Good luck to him ❤️

Society shat on him from the day he was born, yet he had the compassion to look out for a vulnerable young girl. This act seemingly the catalyst for change in his life. What a good heart.
I am so horrified about what he was put through when he was so young. He is amazing to have survived it. And glad to hear it worked out with his partner - he saved her and then she saved him. And his birth family sound lovely. Lots of people wouldn't want a relationship with him because of his criminal history but his aunty gave him a chance.
He went through some awful awful things that no one should ever endure. I don't know this man but I feel so proud of how he has got through it all and is moving forward with his life 💜

I'm trying to come off heroin at the moment. One of the effects is emotions which have been suppressed for so long coming back through. This really tore me up because I know so many people who have lived a similar life, and are just treated as human vermin. We live in a very cruel and sad world
The strength of this man is unreal. From coming to terms with adoption, a foster dad beating him, years of rape, drug abuse, crime & in and out the prison system. Yet look at him now, living his life with his REAL family and now had your own family, experiencing happiness ❤ Marvin you are inspiring😊!
I'm going on at least 18 years using cocaine. Last use, yesterday. I have no experience with crime or violence, but what this man was saying about his habit and how it related to relationships was closest to my experience as I've ever heard another man tell it. Couldn't have told my own take on it better. What a charming fellow. I'm so glad he's kept his mind. His testimony has me thinking.
I just can’t comprehend the amount of abusive evil people in this world and what they do to children. I’d bring back hanging for this kind of crime. 100%.

Been watching a good few of these Lad Bible documentaries lately, and It's just so shocking how many people go from a bad situation to worse by trusting someone who turns out to be the absolute worst of society. There are a lot of evil people out there. This poor guy gets adopted then his dad beats him, goes to some lads house to play games and he leads him into 2 years of abuse.
A lot of humanity in him despite the inhuman things that happened to him - I’m so happy that his humanity helped that girl and that girl helped him - good luck to you Marvin! Xx
