Hello Im Lance (aka Bundy Bear) and doing these videos is my hobby. I do own Queensland Tractor Spares in Australia where I sell parts and offer technical advise to customers.
Parts seen in our videos can be purchased from www.queenslandt...
We have a lot more than we can offer on our web site available to us and in our store. If you dont see what you would like please email info@queenslandtractorspares.com.au and we will help where we can.
I do try and help with technical advise at bundybearsshed@gmail.com if you have a question or are having trouble with your project.

Yes, thanks, I have been keen to get back to it, cleaning sheds isn't that much fun. Had to be done though.

Lance the same small bottom pin was in my feb 49 6v distributor when I took it apart today , was a right bugger to remove too. My bearing was rough but didn't see any washer above it , someone may have been there before me !

Perhaps they changed over time, like an update or similar.

Hi Lance that is one odd looking shifter, haven’t see one of them before thanks for the video mate 👍🇦🇺

No problem 👍 The shifter was in my old mans gear when I sorted it out, he painted everything. Im not sure what brand it is but I see a few from time to time.

You seem to love those bloody shifters, bet you didn't learn that as an apprentice.

Handy tool if used correctly. After doing 40 years of field service on farms I am aware of the value of them. You could not always take your full kit down to the river to get the pump or tractor going.

I’m having trouble getting parts for my Lucas distributor. Have you ever heard of anyone changing to a Delco. 182852M91-TP. What’s your thoughts on it?

No not something we can do over our way.

Is this distributor the same year as the 1954 Tea? I have a 1953 and I’m wondering if I need to buy new contact points because I heard somewhere that later model distributors didn’t have them, or will a bit of wire brushing be fine to put them back to work?

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  3 ปีที่แล้ว

All of the Fergy tractors had the points. If you come across a tractor with an electronic distributor it has been an aftermarket swap over. There was a thing called a points file way back and you could tidy your points up with that. Still available I believe.

@@BundyBearsShed Thanks for the clarification! I have been following all of your videos on the TEA 20 and you have helped me get my tractor to start... just. Your videos are super helpful and clear, and have really made the process easy. Bit of a self-promotion, but if you want to see it I uploaded a video. Thanks Lance! Can you explain how it's possible to install the distributor front to back? The off center pin at the bottom can just go in one way, do you mean the firing will be off as the rotor is pointing to a piston at BDC? I am curious as I am fighting no spark on my 6 volt Tea 20. Thank you for the absolute brilliant show.

If the drive gear was off for whatever reason its possible to put it back on 180 out on the shaft. That's why Lance marked it off centre on one side, one on the shaft and one on the gear. Two marks beside each other ( .. ) means its back to where it was. If one mark was say on your left and the other was on the right ( . . ) its 180 out. So turn the shaft to line the marks beside each other.
At 4.03 min closeup roughly, Lance has the offset drive on the right and marks are on the right of centre, beside each other.

Your no spark might possibly be what Lance talks about at roughly 5.50min.

The bottom offset drive can be put on the shaft 180deg out so that plays up with it but also the gear drive that runs on the cam can be out as well. Both things dont stop spark but put it in a different position to where it should be. Hope this helps.
