24 Hours in Lagos, Portugal: Short Trip to the Algarve 🇵🇹

- From Lisbon, Portugal, we took two high-speed trains to arrive in a city in Portugal’s Algarve region- the beautiful Lagos. Lagos is a coastal city known for its dramatic shoreline that features orange rocky cliffs and turquoise blue waters. Although we only had 24 hours to experience Lagos, we had a divine trip, enjoying delicious Portuguese seafood, admiring golden sunsets, and breathing in fresh ocean air. If you ever visit Portugal, make sure to add the Algarve to your itinerary, because it’s definitely worth the trip down south (even during the winter time)! 🇵🇹

We live in Lagos for 3 years now from Canada and you went to our favourite restaurant Calhou and had our favourite dish, lulinhas! Well done 👍
Hows the weather in Apirl? Is it pleasant enough to swim in the water/pool? We came in late May previously and found it was warm enough.

@@postasiuk I think so. The weather is usually in the low 20Cs in April and we've sen people swimming in the sea during Easter holidays. The Portuguese goes to the beach during Easter. It really depends on the individuals. To me, cold too cold in April 😂
I was in Lagos in 2018 and loved it! The cliff walk and exploring the caves from a kayak were great. I recommend going in May before it gets too hot and crowded.

Next time you come to Portugal, visit Évora, it's a small town in Alentejo and it's very beautiful ❤️
Amazing! I'm portuguese, and now portuguese people spend their holidays in portuguese Islands such as Porto Santo (Madeira). You have to go there, it´s wonderful. The food is delicious, the beach is speachless and there are many places you must visit. Azores is also a great place. I recommend.

I'm portuguese , and i used to spend my summer vacation in Lagos , its been 5 years since last time i was there and i miss it...
In summer its much more crowded with tourists , there isnt a lot of museums to visit but its a pretty small and cute city with beautiful beaches.🏖️😘

Some great filming. I live here. There is so much more than this vid shows but you captured an impressive amount in such a short time. It should be noted that you can only see the sun set over the ocean in the midwinter months. The rest of the year you need to take a half hour journey to the west coast and sit on the cliffs at Sagres, Bordeira or Aljezur. So many fantastic restaurants, I am surprised you went to the same one more than once, but I have not tried that one so look forward to it. Lagos has these hidden beaches with the stacks but also some very long (2km) cliff lined beaches and the massive many kilometer Meia Praia (seen in the distance on the video) with the dunes behind. All accessible by walking, train or uber.

Another super video. Im really enjoying watching you both and the drone is extremely helpful to give us a better view of the area. Lagos is a beautiful place. In Ponta da Piedade (which by the way Piedade is my name) you can take a little boat at the bottom of the steps and have a cave tour which is stunning!
Such a shame you're leaving Portugal, but I'm sure the next country will also be beautiful and have lots to see.

Hi, I'm from Lisbon and I live halfway to Sintra. I really liked your videos and I was happy that you liked my land so much.
The next time you are at Gare Do Oriente and with so much time to catch the plane, I suggest a walk through Parque das Nações (where the station is). The entire area was rehabilitated for the World Exposition in 1998 and, in addition to a walk along the riverside, you can see the Lisbon Oceanarium, among other attractions.

The name of the restaurant is Calhou. Which means happen in Portuguese. Our favourite restaurant. Try their pizza too even though the baby squid is the best. The pizza taste like the ones we had in Naples, Italy👍

I’m sure you’re heading to Spain next. I know you have the goal of reaching 50 countries but you might regret moving so fast. I find slow travel to be more enjoyable and it’s definitely less expensive since you are not constantly going to airports and train stations. When you are done rushing through 50 countries, it’s all going to be a blur. My apologies if I’m coming across too preachy.😀
We completely agree! We are aiming to find a good balance of seeing as much as possible and taking it in at a good speed.
This trip was an experiment and future trips can be as slow or fast as we want. We never said how long the 50 countries would take us👴👵

Hey my grandparents have a house there and I go there every summer. U might want to go to the black and white cafe it's really good if u ever return and want breakfast, there are even people who go to Lagos just to go there

This channel is awesome! As you your channel grows (and it will), please continue to keep the content authentic and raw. Too many TH-cam channels that get “big” make the common mistake of becoming too staged and “perfect”, then the sponsors come which is another. Not saying sponsors is bad, it’s great business wise, just make sure it is a company & product you truly in. Keep it up!
