Thank you! I'm 32 years old, on my second week of jiu jitsu classes (3 times per week) and I'm really feeling it in my knees and back right now.

I would argue for Magnesium before probiotics and I am a lover of bacteria. Our muscles need magnesium to relax, it blocks the electrical circuit created by calcium ions. In addition to being required for muslces to relax, there are about 200 enzymes that require magnesium as either a cofactor or as part of the active site. For example to replenish ATP from ADP (cellular energy), magnesium is required for ATP synthase to rotate and produce the high energy molecule. Probiotics, well some species may do some of the things you claim, as long as you are eating the foods that the bacteria like, which is how our colons and large intestines have their ecology shaped. Its like working out at a gym, if you never attack the legs, your leg lock game will be deficient. Bacteria need certain food sources, I know this since I am working with bacteria to find out which ones can eat mucus. If your diet doesn't support the probiotics you take, the probiotics won't be able to do well when they face the trillions of other bacteria in your guts. Just my 2 cents.

Thank you, I'm a big fan of good Bacteria as well and appreciate your input. Interesting points on magnesium and its connection to the stomachs enzymes. My main focus with magnesium has always been its ability to help the body rest and allow for the muscles to relax to optimize recovery. But it's always good to know of other important positive effects it may have. Thank you, and best of luck with your research

Well I guess in America you have to take these synthetic supplement since All of your food is GMO and you can find rarely anything organic, and if you do it's expensive.

True good organic food is expensive. I look at supplements like an insurance policy to make sure you get everything covered. Even under the best diet it can still be hard to get all your daily nutrients.
