    Great video Michael. Question, do you have any experience cutting around an object like a pole or furnace? I need to cut a few inches off the side of my mat, but it wouldn't be a full-side cut. It would be like an indentation. How would you do that?

    Great points!!! I agree with all the fight predictions except for the MVP fight. I think the younger kid has an ego and something to prove, so he would most likely walk MVP down.

    I have no clue how I got cauliflower ear as I'm a pretty boring middle aged man at 35 but with my routine I do enjoy working out 5 days a week, mostly swimming and the bicycle(maybe got it from swimming?) Anyways, if I get my ear drained, how long should I leave the magnets in place and avoid woking out? Thanks for the help.

    Nah, spats plus rashguard. If you've never wrestled, you're probably gonna rub open your knees if you're not wearing spats.

  • @abelardorodriguez3225
    @abelardorodriguez3225 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great explanation, one of the best! I just had my ears drained at the doctor. I definitely wish I would've just done this. I have at least a dozen stitches in each ear, doctors like to cut vs use a syringe. Dumb. Thanks!!

  • @williamfranco7526
    @williamfranco7526 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I did all the steps and mine still filled back up. I got it drained twice. about a week or two apart. kept it compressed and everything. Now its starting to harden. The magnets are pretty weak. id recommend a hairclip from cvs. (ENT recommended a clothes pin but that was a bit TOO tight...magnets not tight enough) Its barely notceable though unless I point it out, So if i have to live with it , so be it... however, its a bit concerning for long term training. Its been 3 weeks and it still looks the same despite all the things ive done to take care of it. Im going to be wearing headgear forever now because i cant get my ears fucked up. I had no idea how easy it is to permanently damage your ears doing jiu jitzu. Wish I knew before hand.

      @esteban8183 ปีที่แล้ว

      2 years later..what’s the outcome? Did it eventually harden? Do you still suffer from cauliflower ear? Update please! I’m in the same boat, second time draining it as it filled back up even after using magnets. Should I go to an ENT?

    • @williamfranco7526
      @williamfranco7526 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@esteban8183 Honestly it depends on how bad it is. Mine was super minor can't even notice it now at all but I have friends who I train with who have it bad. I wore headgear for a while but now I don't wear it and I'm fine. the key is to lay off training if you get bumped and manage it before it gets worse. if you keep training then you get the gnarly ears. I was so worried about it at the time and now I have no issues with it whatsoever. Make sure you have a professional drain it if you need to drain it. I would only go to ENT if needed. I had it drained twice, once at walk in clinic and once at ent. luckily the ENT didn't charge me. They will tell you some bullshit about some procedure they do if it gets worse. make sure you use a clip or cheap magnets to compress the ear. if you decide you need to drain it. DONT TRAIN FOR A BIT. LET IT HEAL! a week or so maybe and then when you go back just wear headgear for while. lmk if you have anymore questions.
