Dave & Adrian are still absolute geniuses on their instruments. Somewhere In Time is the pinnacle of Iron Maiden's guitar work and it makes me happy to see the two of them doing this album justice 37 years later. Best guitar duo in metal history
i agree. adrian isn't certainly the more technical guitarist on earth ,but the way he play and write his solos is just so tasty....they always a story by themselves .tone,playing and feeling a the top!
Stranger in a Strange Land is just a banger of a fucking song. It's so good and yeah, even though it's not a long solo, Adrian's solo is top tier. Fucking amazing.

I was 22 years old when Somewhere in Time came out. It is so neat to see all of you young Maiden fans. I am hoping to take my 5 year old Grandson to see them on this tour. He's loved Maiden since he was 3. LOL. GREAT job on this video.
Wow... what a concert... felt totally like a pure 80's vibe. Bruce's voice reminded a bit like those times, and yes, he was very much in fire. Adrian Smith's tone and playing = ❤. Playing the solos just like back in the day, so good. My favouriten Maiden album. Hope that they play Sea of Madness and Dejavú also, on this tour.
I was there. I have suffered a lot, didn't sleep for 2 days, cause I'm a broke Eastern European and wanted to spare some money on hotel... and then when Caught Somewhere in Time started, I knew right away that it was worth it. I will never forget that euphoric moment. Lots of people with tears in their eyes during that song... me included.

Fan from Day 1..first concert in '85, & since 1986 i have wanted Alexander the Great live. 34 concerts later, looks like #35 will be my golden ticket. By the time they get to Oklahoma or surrounding states it'll be polished up. Don't think i didn't see Bruce's flub right after Daves solo in ATG. lol they are human after all. Great video you two. This video is really well done and is getting me even more pumped to travel to Leeds & Manchester from the US. With Death of the Celts, I’d say Bruce loves to tell stories, and that’s a lengthy one. But, I also really wanted to hear The Parchment and thought Dream of Mirrors would’ve fit in perfectly. Can’t wait to hear Alexander live! I was in high school when SIT came out.

Killer video! I feel like that was the most anticipated opening night of any Maiden tour ever! And I also feel the exact same as you about Death of The Celts, I’ve been looking at the previous tours and the set-lists from the opening nights are more than likely gonna change and aren’t set in stone. Back in the opening night in Dallas from the Final Frontier 2010 tour, They played Brighter than a Thousand Suns and Paschendale, then literally the next date both were dropped for Wrathchild and Dance of Death so there is still hope! I kinda feel like Death of The Celts is gonna get dropped and maybe Madness too?
In the last several tours, the setlist is cast in stone. DOTC was my least favorite of the 4 Senjutsu epics, but I don't see it going away until the next leg of this tour (2024).

To be fair, I think the decision to not play 'Parchment' is due to the dynamic and variety of the set-list as a whole. It is very simlar to the intro of 'Alexander' and maybe also 'Hell on Earth'. It may be the reason why 'Celts' is prefered but it's still a bad choice. Personally I think the best replacement would've been 'Phantom of the Opera'.

Thank you very much for sharing your experience from last night! I was not there as I'm from the UK but I dedicated last night to tuning into the live streams that were available here & there. I've been a Maiden fan for over 20 years (since my early teens), Somewhere In Time (esp. CSIT) is probably my all time favourite Maiden record since first hearing it in 2005, and to say I completely lost it when they started the Blade Runner theme / CSIT is an understatement - I've been waiting all these years for the band to finally give the record the recognition it deserves... The band absolutely nailed it last night. Enjoy the next show that you'll be attending, I'm really hoping to see them again in the UK in July. This is going to be one of the best tours they ever do!
If they see that DOTC is just not going down well hopefully they will make a change. Parchment is my favorite of Senjutsu, too - would love for them to play it
I think that was the first time since before NOTB came out that they didn't play either one of Hallowed Be Thy Name, Number of the Beast or Run to the Hills.
I think the set list works really good 🤘 death of the celts is really good live and I enjoyed the whole set. As Bergen was a outdoor venue and it stayed light all the show we missed some of the light effects of arenas. But the whole band were so good. Bruce his vocals were fantastic and Steve never stops. I was standing Adrian and Dave side and Daves new guitat looks awesome. Enjoy your next UK concerts 🤘🤘
Wasn't surprised by CIPWM... they rotate and play one of the 3 SSOASS singles every couple of tours... Plus half the newish "legacy" shirts in the online shop gave away half the set list months ago
I’m really glad they played Death of the Celts. Idk if that song will ever make it to the actual US tour (excluding PowerTrip). I’m sure they’ll switch it out. They did that with Tears of a Clown to Great Unknown on the Book of Souls Tour. Anything is possible. And I’m hoping they’ll play Killers as the next “gem”.
