  • I bought 2 ODL add-on blinds for my French door. Both blinds failed within a few minutes of use. The blinds got stuck about 1/4 of the way down and could not be lowered any further. Hope this video helps if you have the same problem.

I never understood why people post videos on repairs, but I understand and wish the company’s who make these great products would give you guys some $$ and fix the problems permanently. Thanks again

Thank you for simple, clear explanation. Since I am no handyman I expect I will destroy it when trying the repair but at least I know what needs to be done.

Your video helped but....I only cleaned the excess glue off that black slide track and it started working like new. A wind slam knocked my slats out of place and stuck! Unlock the side locks, lift blind assembly off top hangers, to remove. Lean assembly against wall. Excess glue came from two magnets at top and behind slide mechanism. Their held together with extra glue but they moved around and got glue on slide. Your explanation of how the slider came apart helped me immensely. Thanks.

Thanks for the video Henry! I’m glad you figured out the fix for the blinds because I don’t think I ever would have. Pretty easy fix when you what to do.

Thank you for this video. I bought this product yesterday & learned they go up & down ok, but the tilt function doesn't work. Tried calling their customer service, which is only open Mon-Fri.

Thank you.... My blinds also failed within minutes of hanging. It's a shame you spend so much money on products, only to have to doctor them after purchasing in order to get them to operate properly.

I have a sliding patio door with ODLs enclosed door blinds. The string that holds the blinds cut off and now the individual slats are hanging loose. Apparently, these can't be fixed. Gotta replace the whole frame and door.

Thank you for your video! I have had these blinds for about 6months and have been fighting with them ever since. About 2 months ago, they quite going up and down so I just decided to live with it. And within the last 2 weeks, I couldnt even tilt them because they were all stuck behind the track and wouldnt turn. I used your video today to fix the up and down issue! Thank you Thank you! Do yours get stuck behind the frame and not want to open/close?

Hi Stephanie. Glad you could fix the up down problem. I had only 1 slat get stuck behind the track. I was able to get it back in the track with a butter knife ... but it popped out again. Right now, I'm just living with it. I'll try to nudge the slat back into the track one day when I'm bored out of my mind. Good luck with your blinds.
