Best haircut tutorial IMHO on TH-cam. I love the style and I agree with so many ladies that sometimes we say one thing to our stylist and yet they still manage to do something else with as little 'detailing' as possible. Time for my own cut and I am gonna try the flexibility test. Should be fun. Cheers!

this works better than brad mondo's way. I tried his first and my line wasn't straight. So I switched to using Sharee's way. Works waaay better!
Girl, I was saying the exact same thing to myself. I cut my hair using his guide, sectioning off my hair in 4 parts... it DID NOT come out evenly at all. Lol I was struggling trying to get my hair to look "semi straight."
I cut my hair shorter using the technique in this video and it was so much easier and came out even.
I think brad’s method probably works better for longer styles tbh. Especially since he’s playing it safe and trying to share very simple techniques if you just want a basic cut and not trying to do anything drastic with the length.
That being said, I’m definitely about to try out my cut following this video! Since it’s so much closer to the style I’m going for it makes more sense.

lol I didn't have any long enough clips when I did it, so I ended up having to use 2 popsicle sticks and clipping the sticks around my hair. Worked amazingly!

You all think you have hair problems? I haven't been to my hair stylist in a year. I grew it out grey roots and all. Now that I want a color and cut, guess what?!? Everyone is closed. Pandemic! cut happening here tomorrow. Hair grows back but your life and health aint worth the risk.

Me too. Idk what it is about this staying home thing but I’ve got so much stress and anxiety everyday from the load of shit I have to deal with, I don’t know what else to do. It’s like chopping my long hair is the only light at the end of the tunnel right now.

You did an awesome job! I'm a Cosmetologist and it is very hard to do your own cut like that. You did a better cut on your own than I have gotten by a professional.
I actually cut about 2 inches off my hair this morning, but this video makes me want to cut it shorter like hers. Of course she is absolutely stunning and looks great with shorter hair. I can’t guarantee that I will look as good as she does.

I never knew this about how thinning shears dont take any length off!!! So beautiful I might try this 😊
Thinning shears actually will take length off if you snip the same section multiple times. As long as you don’t go crazy with them though, they’re pretty safe and can help a lot with making softer lines!! She really did a nice job on her cut. I love the curls too! 👍🏻👍🏻
I've never seen it done this way. I was worried about have my ends uneven in the back. But now I see how it works. I just have to get some of those clips you used on the back of your hair. That's a great idea. I'm learning a lot from your videos. In quarantine I need to find out what method will be easier for me to do my hair.

The thing I would hate the most about being a hairdresser is you go to school to get skilled at cutting hair and then you can’t even really give yourself a nice haircut without breaking your arms and neck. 😩 Lol!! But anyway I love this hair cut. I want to go this short. Hopefully I can convince my husband to cut my hair.

Usually my husband doesn't like it when I have my hair cut short but this time was an exception! He thought it looked nice and was surprised that I did it. I just moved to another state, went to a hair salon and they did a sorry job, payed lots for it but it came out not the way I wanted, ofcourse they always have excuses, but it even looked close to what I wanted, so after many years cutting my own hair, I will do that again, when I cut my own hair, it looks so much better, you did a great job with your hair, better then a professional stylist, super
It would be easier for you if you purchased a stand up mirror that you didn't have to hold. Excellent job!
This is actually exactly how I trim my own hair, but I never thought of using hair clips to get a nice straight line across the back, so thank you for that! I started cutting my own hair a couple of years ago after discovering your channel and have saved a ton of money as a result. I will try adding some soft long layers like you did here the next time I trim my bob. :)

When doing the layering, how much of the back are you actually cutting? You take a piece from the top back of your head, cut it as the measurement for the layer, and then say to bring all the hair over your head. It looks like you're just using the hair from maybe the top quarter though. Would you mind clarifying this please? Thank You!

i've always dealt with my own bangs, & color streaks, that i've been redying into my hair, for the past DECADE. (the bangs i've always had) i'm a natural blonde, with 3ft long hair, & even-tho i DID literally JUST cut my own ends off THE REST of it, it's STILL at a whopping 3ft long.. (& i've never used the bleach either) .. my different colored streaks are pink, teal, purple, & blue, & my Daughter STILL CAN'T evener ever remember a moment where she DIDN'T see the colors in my hair... (the streaks WERE all red, &then they were pink, &then i started teal, then a purple 1, then a blue 1/u know how it goes 🤷🏼♀️) 🌈💕 now that my Daughter's older tho, i've taught her how to cut hair.. she usually cuts mine, & i cut hers. (sep for today) .. anywho.. i luv how this technic worked out for her.. ☝🥰 .. it looks super cute..
I just cut mine. Her technique is really good! You just need to be very patient and bare with the pain of your arm LOL But it is totally worth it
Glad I saw this. I'm a professional hairstylist but it still is not easy cutting your own hair. I like the idea of the duckbil clips holding the hair in place. Didn't think of that lol! This quarantine is long and who knows when they will let us back to work. Thanks for the video!

Those clips make all the difference! I did a 3 ponytail method because I just wanted it done and my hair has enough texture it's forgiving but this will be great to clean it up a bit! (I totally snipped a finger!🤣)

Girl u helped me alot. It was actually my first time cutting my hair and it came out pretty good. Gotta admit I only did the first step because like you said my hand didn't reach all the way like that but other than that I'm happy w the results. I saved $30.
