It was a bit of fun! I had to show how clever the construction is. Just wearing it doesn’t do it justice at all. Very glad you enjoyed the vlog! Thanks so much!
Finally, a jumpsuit pattern that will fit into my lifestyle! The snip pouch you made would be great for gifts, wouldn’t it? I can’t wait to try this out. Your quilting is lovely. Izzy has such great instructions! She seems to have the patience of a saint, too. I’m currently working on two different patterns for coin pouches so I can decide which one to use from a special-order fabric for sending some estate silver to my brother. Loved listening to you this morning with my morning coffee, Rachael. 😘
Hi Lynn! Isn’t that jumpsuit just the best!!!!yes the pouch would make a super cute gift Those pouches sound like a gorgeous little project!! Very glad I could keep you company!!
Thanks you so much for such a great review ❤❤ you’ve made my weekend! Sorry about all the sickness in your house but really hoping your holiday helps you refresh. Enjoy every minute xxx
Thanks so much for watching Donna! I’m so glad you liked the review! I wore the jumpsuit loads on our lovely holiday! I absolutely love it.. and we had a wonderful holiday! Thanks again x
Hi Ann! That’s very kind, thank you so much and delighted you enjoy them! The jumpsuit is just fabulous… and so lovely to sew! Ee had a wonderful holiday, thank you
Sorry to hear the French Seams family has been poorly. I’m glad you’re feeling better. Your Serene jumpsuit it epic, mind blown, I need one in my life 😂 Have a lovely holiday and have fun with your hexies and that adorable scissors pouch ❤
Great vlog as always Rachael, I loved all your makes and can’t wait to watch your binding vlog. I’m trying to catch up with all my favourite bloggers as I’ve been on holiday. Enjoy your holiday. ❤❤
My mum has an hexi quilt - every time we make something, have a special item of clothing (or fabric something) before it gets made or recycled it gets made into a hexagon and gets added - its random and nowhere near coordinated but oh so special 😊
I love all your makes! The tote pack is brilliant! I just took mine on holiday and the outside pocket was big enough for me to put my travel wallet in and secure shut, so was easy to get hold of at the security check points. I found the zipper part quite bulky, will have a look at how it compares to yours, I couldn’t top stitch right to the edges, but it didn’t show too much. Thanks for another lovely video xx
Thanks so much Mandy. The bag is just brilliant! It would be so great for travel’ I’d be curious about the zip alright!! Thanks as always 🩷🩷 and welcome home
Okay, observations. It's amazing that we got to see your Learning To Quilt Properly process from beginning to gorgeous completed quilt! The fabric you're wearing really brings out the color of your eyes. Love the jumpsuit, especially the legs! We're so close to autumn that I have to ask: do you have enough crocheted pumpkins??? Hope the family has a wonderful holiday!
The quilts look great!!! Also amazing how the buttons worked out perfectly - nice! Yes, I love that handbags don't involve fitting, just making. The jumpsuit is so pretty in that lovely fabric and the design is ingenious - reminds me of a one-piece footed pajama from years ago called "Dr. Denton's" here in the U.S. - they had a "drop seat" to make them easier to use for bathroom needs without having to take everything off - a big plus with a 4-year-old in the middle of the night!
I follow Dizzy Quilts, so i looked back at her vlogs. I'm definitely going to try quilting a square at a time. That jumpsuit is so unique. Another informative vlog. Enjoy your weekend.
Rachael, it’s great to see you 😊 I absolutely adore the wavy line for your shorts waistband to keep the elastic down. As you would say, BRILLIANT! I’ll be copying that 🙃 Until next time, take good care of yourself and safe travels 🌺
Hahahaha it’s is BRILLIANT 🤩 Definitely copy, it looks really pretty and nicer than straight lines! I’m wearing them right now! Thanks so much for watching!!
Beautiful makes, I love doing handsewing on holiday....the family have got used to it!! Thanks for the Serene demo too. The green looks fabulous on you!
Your Spring Quilt is so beautiful - I love the rick rack you added to the binding. Thank you so much for the sweet shoutout. Your little quilt is so cute!! Your Bettine dress is lovely and the buttons are perfect for it. Your Rainbow Fabrics makes are stunning. That jumpsuit really is the coolest thing! Love the snippy pouch.
Thanks Izzy!!! The ricrac is a really cute addition that I would never have thought of! The qayg quit is so cute! I’m so happy with how it’s coming out. The jumpsuit is genius! I’m so happy with it Thanks for watching and hope you’re having a lovely weekend xx
So glad you are on the mend! And glad to know that you still got to putter in your sewing room despite all the busy life issues! When you putter…things happen! BEAUTIFUL Bettine dress ❤️ and your jumpsuit is ever so clever! I had to chuckle when you showed you LB Pullover…I am wearing mine…with the roll neck though! And that cuff trick is a cool one! Enjoy your holidays! Looks like your sewing addiction will be met ☺️ please pack more than one needle. Trust me on that one! Grumpy was the passenger who lost her only crochet hook at a rest stop 🤦♀️ have a lovely time!!
Life has been very busy lately!!! But hopefully everyone is on the mend!!! Big yes to the LB Pullover!! And so delighted with how the cuff came out! Genius hack!! Great tip on the needles! Ugh losing one at a rest stop!!! Noooooo Thanks so much as always cyndy!!
Gorgeous makes, as usual! The Bettine dress is stunning. Thank you for the lovely shoutout, too. I was actually sewing on my EPP hexy quilt while watching your video 😂 Have a great week away!
Hi Rachael, really like your quilts very talented! I have also taken part in Issy's block sew along like you waiting for binding. It has been great fun waiting to see what the blocks are each time. Have a lovely holiday enjoy using your bag. x
You are influencing me to make a quilt lol I have been looking for a more natural fibre option to snuggle down under on the sofa when the winter months come a calling and I cotton quilt would be perfect 👌 Also really looking forward to the neckline tutorial 😍😍 Hahaaaa I love how well the buttons worked out on Bettine, sure isn't it like when you go into the shop and you have the EXACT change to pay lol The construction on the jumpsuit is mind blowing 🤯 I love it!!!
Yes!!! Do it!!! I’m going to drag everyone to the quilting side 😂😂😂😂 Neckline tutorial coming this week 🤫 That jumpsuit is awesome!!!! The coolest thing ever! Thanks for watching lovely lady 🩷🩷
Oh my goodness you have been busy, absolutely love your quilt, the hexi one is so pretty haven't done any EPP yet must give it a try, the bag and scissor pouch are so cute, happy holiday xx
I have the Bettine dress, but I have never made it, yours is absolutely gorgeous! I feel this may come onto my makes list! love how you have used the buttons lovely! Fab vlog as always 🙂
My husband wants me to make him a quilt. Having only started to sew last year, I feel a little daunted by the challenge! However, your beautiful quilts have given me the impetus to give it a try! I have the Bettine pattern, but have not made it yet; seeing your make, I am definitely going to pull my finger out! I do not seem able to follow you on your instagram (i'm in the U.K.) for some reason, so I hope you will continue to put photos up on your TH-cam video. Many thanks.
You could totally make a quilt! The rope and anchor patterns are just lovely!! That’s so strange you can’t follow on instagram. I don’t know why that would be! What’s your handle over there? Thanks so much for watching
Your jumpsuit is really cute, and I like the fact that you still have a top on when you go to the washroom, but I know some part of it will end up in the yoklet bowl. I can't even be trusted with waist ties on a dress or shoulder straps on dungarees. I used to bring hexis and yo-yos (another form of quilting) to all of my prenatal doctors appointments years ago. I kept them in one of the little baby wipes containers that I accumulated, and it tucked neatly inside my purse. It was a lovely, portable thing to do while doing all the waiting. I'd forgotten about that. I must dig them out again. They were so much fun.
Thanks linda! It’s a genius construction of a jumpsuit! I absolutely love it!!! As long as you tucked everything , it should all remain dry 😂😂 Hexies as a waiting room craft is genius!!! I had to google yo yo quilting! That is so cute!!! I’ve watched a few videos and I’d love to give it a go! Thanks so much for that. I love hearing about new crafts!!! Thanks for watching
Everything you make is so beautifully done! Such clever patterns with the tote bag/backpack and the jumpsuit! Do you have a special machine for the quilting designs you do, ie computerized? Or do you freehand those designs on a standard sewing machine with a freehand presser foot? One more Roman shade to make (4 done so far), but frustratingly, the cord locks just didn't work. I had to return those and now awaiting heavy duty cord locks which won't come til next week. But I did do 3 "emergency" dress alterations for 3 people last week and made a Japanese style crossback apron for myself with a free pattern. Two (throw) pillow covers are awaiting to be styled from antique embroidered pieces for a client and I go on a mini vacation mid-week next week. Way too much going on for my liking! Lol...Have a wonderful trip with your family and enjoy your time together (and your week off work).Thank you for a great vlog. P.S. It was not long at all!
Thank you so much! I use a free motion foot and Izzy’s tutorials showed me how to do those patterns . They’re so great! Wow sounds like you really have your plate full!!! Thanks so much for the holiday best wishes too 🩷
“Modesty is preserved”. It sounded funny to me. Who cares? In the bathroom you are completely alone. The only problem is what you mentioned earlier, to prevent your jumpsuit from falling to the floor! Personally, that’s my only concern.😊
Your jumpsuit demonstration was amazing and I finally understand how the garment is constructed! Lovely selection of makes so thank you for the video.
It was a bit of fun! I had to show how clever the construction is. Just wearing it doesn’t do it justice at all. Very glad you enjoyed the vlog! Thanks so much!

Possibly. I’m completely equal opportunity when it comes to crustaceans 😂🩷
