Knowing about their culture, it would have been amazing if we could have beaten him into submission and turned him into an ally. His loyalty would have been absolute, and what an ally to have against the reapers. But still, even for a Yahg he was a monster.
@@Dark_Voice Because, you know, the galaxy, he's one of the idiots who live in it. The MAY have let them live to be the next dominant ones, but a cycle takes centuries you know, and the Yahg are already into the early space age with council tech left behind. So.... yeah. And I don't think the broker really gave a flying F about his species. He found a new dominion where he was the absolute alpha, probably would have liked keeping it. Also: beaten into submission to forcefully aid you. If you prove yourself as the superior one to a Yahg, you are the alpha and the Yahg will bow to you and follow your order without questions. Just some ideas and points that could have made this possible and not break anything game and lore-wise~
@@highlordxeleth The last point can be said about Reapers as well BUT the reapers didnt even attack them - maybe they even already joined the reapers for all we know because of the last point - they saw them as far more powerful and bowed SO Reapers saw them as allies.
@@Dark_Voice Hmmm, not sure about the Reapers. Well, for the Yahg/Reapers, we just don't know, in the end. Seems like they'll let them become the next big species. But, if they advance too fast, they might just be harvested during the cycle, since it takes a while and they're already so advanced. Also: IF the Yagh know you exist (Daddy Reapers), which seems to be the case with their radio silence and stance of hiding themselves like the Raloï, and since they already have knowledge of a galaxy spanning civilisation(s), they'd connect the dots. As Reapers, with all the sh!t that hit the fan with this cycle and the Protheans from last time, wouldn't they just not take the chance and harvest them just in case? Have a safer reset for the next cycle? Possible I'd say. Hmm, and yeah, the Yahg might have gone this way with the Reapers, they the Alpha now. Though not sure it would have happened without a fight (but seeing an entire galaxy being genocided into oblivion might of course do the trick). Also, not sure the Yahgs would bow down to "machines". Again, all quite interesting! Many possibilities, but with ME3 and how the war happened, there's just too little we know about the Yahg/Reapers relations/contacts/goals/perception/etc. Sorry if I ramble and give you walls of text, I'm high as a kite and find this interesting.

EPIC!! Finally a race in ME that understands the basics of close-quarters combat, as well as a proper warrior/tribal view - not just the normal turian "stick up the ass" personality, this is a race that would suite 40k or Halo - and should have had a larger role in ME1 to 3!!!! Imagine them allied to humanity!!!! Yahg Shocktroops, in heavy armour and heavy kinetic weaponry - with kinetic barriers as strong as a tank! ooooh
5 years late, but I'll still say it. Unfortunately, the yahg are essentially OP. They're about as smart as the salarians, and stronger and more agile than the krogan. These guys would indeed massacre their enemies, which is what they did to the Council party that greeted them on their home planet. Which brings us to their culture, which renders them incapable of taking an active role in galactic community, as they're obsessed with control and hold literally everyone they see in the light of either subordinate or superior. You can only be either this or that to a yahg, never an equal. If they'd be allied to anyone, it'd be someone that beat them into submission.
Not at all. If the Crucible fails and the Reapers kill everything in ME3, the yahg achieve space travel shortly after, find Liara's holograms and kill them all. Don't forget, the yahg are as big, strong and faster than they look, but all that pales when compared to their intelligence.
"I am not the Shadow broker" he said. "My name is Ryan. I inherited this ship from the previous Shadow Broker, just as you will inherit it from me. The man I inherited it from was not the real -Dread Pirate Roberts- Shadow Broker either"
I didn't upload anything from the first game. Can I sill face off with the Shadow Broker? btw, Really well done with him being an alien brought here as a trophy, or a pet.
It's funny. No moment in The Avengers or Justice League or The Last Jedi or any other fan boy movie for man babies made in the last 8 years could match the drama and suspense of this scene. The Shadow Broker - an intimidating presence.
Liara: you were brought here as a slave or pet. How am I doing :)
*Shadow Broker stands up*
Shepard: thanks for pissing him off liara
Garrus being a champ and taking a desk to the face like a boss.
He's had practice.
He got shot in the face with a rocket when he was recruited, a desk is nothing
3:06. "Then we do this the hard way, Kinetic charge him into submission."
-Vanguard Shepard
lol XD
love how the lines and angles of the shadow brokers armor resemble the cut of a business suit.
Feron: i'll... check the power systems. *limps away*
Garrus: i'll go with you, see what i can do with the forward batteries.
if you look at the thumbnail, its as if the Shadow Broker interrupted Shepard and Liara's....delicate business....
Hug her!!! Why not hug her?!?!
Probably had a different romance choice for this playthrough.
Knowing about their culture, it would have been amazing if we could have beaten him into submission and turned him into an ally. His loyalty would have been absolute, and what an ally to have against the reapers. But still, even for a Yahg he was a monster.
Why would he aid against the reapers when the Reapers were sparing the Yahg - making them the next cycle's apex race?

(SB stands up)
Me: Oookay, THAT'S what he is!
LOL
Shepard can punch an alien twice his size and walk out unscathed ...
now that's why I love Mass Effect
I mean even leaving a Yagh staggered means Shepard is really strong.
In mass effect 3 when you're extracting the Krogan female, a Yahg breaks out of containment and goes on a rampage.
There goes the next Shadow Broker - Probably Garrus Vakarian.

That is what I often have in my dreams (more or less). The Yahg are such an underrated species, I wish I saw them in more fanfics.

I just played this DLC. I was NOT expecting *this* thing! Fucking awesome!
This scene was too bright in the Legendary Edition, you could completly see how he looks like. As a SHADOW broker, he is supposed to be in the shadow!
Huh, Liara was right. There really WASN'T enough of him left to fill a coffee cup. Hell, there's barely enough to fill a thimble.
Garrus: *Gets hit by desk*
Shepard: Garrus!!
Liara: Are you alright?!
Garrus: ...I'm. ...Middle. ...Calibrations. ...wait a moment...? *Faints* @_@
PFFFT forget Omni-blades, this guy's got and Omni- SHEILD
That yog is so badass, he fights in a suit with an antimaterial handcannon.
