Hi Timmy.. when I do the automix how can I set the start and end time of for each song. Because it selecting each song from the beginning.. I want to start from mid
If you go to the preferences there is an automix tab and you can change the start point. Unfortunately you can't change the automix AI range, just how many seconds in you want the track to start.
Thanks as always, I noticed on the IOS version you can set your own start and stop points of songs which for Open Format is handy to avoid dead air, I wish the Mac version had this ability. Also IOS has Beat Jump feature which Mac version lacks.
Oh that would be great if you could adjust the start and stop points. That is definitely one of the missing features on the Mac version. Thanks for the info!
You can only set start points on iOS not end points. They are set automatically and sometimes are terrible, missing out most of a track by mixing too early
are you able to set where in the song you want the transition to happen? and also are you able to save different types of transitions in your playlist. So you basically have a premixed playlist ready to go??

I am surprised that it hasn't come yet, but I have no clue when it will. It seems like algoriddim is focused on their mobile apps more than their computer apps, which makes me slightly worried because I don't want them to give up on the computer apps! You could reach out to someone from algoriddim to see if they will give you any information on that. (That being said, DJay Pro 1 is still great!)
Excellent TimmyG! my 10-year old son will play at my party (he's totally onto your videos), so the question is: may I leave the decks unattended while loading a PL and setting the automix so the tracks won't stop? I'll be at the bbq with my wine glass, hahahaha. Thanks man!!
The BBQ with the wine glass seems like the perfect place to be! Yes, even if a controller is plugged in, the automix won't stop unless the playlist ends. If the music is just gonna be in the background I would suggest a simpler transition, as some of the transitions can get a bit wonky. Sounds like a blast, and let me know if you have any other questions :)
@@timmygtunes on my DDJ SX3 it says Automix not available while controller is hooked up.....is there a way around that?
I run Serato on a RANE 72 with Denon sc5000 decks for larger events, since the 72 is not mapped for Djay I run it from headphone jack into Sessions Input allowing me to use Djay for Spotify integration all from 1 Macbook. Both programs run independently so it's super clean and convenient. As long as I turn off EQ reset then my sound stays consistent.
@@chadnliz2k11 That is very odd. I have used automix tons of times while my DDJ 1000 was connected. That is great that you can use both softwares at once! I would contact algoriddim about your automix problem - they might have a fix!
It's difficult to see the mouse as you move it around. Not sure there is a solution for that, but just FYI so it is hard to follow at therefore, not useful!
Will this automix music videos like virtual DJ....comparing this to VDJ that i have used for 10 years...consideing going back to mac if this is better than VDJ

Yes! If you click on where it says automix at the bottom middle of the screen you can get the window to go away! Hopefully that helps
On the double deck automix, I can load a song from a different playlist and will it play that song once the other song finishes.

Do you mean can you record the automix sets, or see the playlists after the fact? If you go down and click on the orange/black button above the itunes logo and then click the little time icon, you can see the tracks that you played in a previous set. I will also be making a tutorial on how to record sets/audio from your computer. I hope that helps!

If I play with automix from a playlist and want to pic a specific song from another source for my uppcoming song, how can I do this the best way?
Hi Cecilia, great question! This is totally doable in multiple ways. If you are in the Automix view (in single deck mode), you can find whatever track you want to put on and drag it over to the top right screen where it says up next. The only issue with this is that if your source is the current playlist and you need to go to a different playlist in order to get your song. To fix this, I would suggest having your source be manual, and dragging all of your songs from the desired playlist into the manual source. Then it is super easy to load the next song and change the order.
You can also do the same thing while in Automix in 2 deck mode. Just drag the track onto whatever track isn't playing. You can also drag songs into the Automix cue in any order.

Hi again:) we are having som problem when we play automix from the queu. It seems like the automix skip some of the songs in the queu.. Why? Is it because the song has been played before? Or is it another reason? This is really not practical , sometimes I want to play one song more than one time. Do you know how I can do to fix this problem?
@@stinasigge Is your automix on shuffle? Check your the automix settings, because that might be the problem. I just tried to have multiple songs on the automix and it worked. I hope that helps!

Yes - there is actually an option at the bottom of the automix preferences that you can check that says "shuffle automix" (or something like that!)
