The low rev shifting looks smoother than my clutchless shifting, makes me very interesting in this unit. And your bike looks fantastic, I'd love to see it on the road.
i just fitted the latest version to my 02 yamaha r1 fitted the sensor to the shift rod and healtech emailed me instructions to completly disable cut out when downshifting , fitted it and it worked very well straight away in its auto adaptive mode , then i switched to manual mode and adjusted some kill times to fine tune it , was pretty good in low rev ranges and 1st to 3nd gear was suprisingly good from 4 grand up
10:22 what you're saying here worries me. Does that mean that you can't do rev match downshifting? because it'd be hard to blip the throttle when you're shifting down and it kills the ignition?
Great video... I fitted a HealTech Shifter to my ZX14r after watching this video, a great product that is really simple to install and fun to play with.....can't wait to go to the drags and get my times under 10secs
hello mate great video thinking of getting 1 never used 1 but sounds sweet is it OK to still change gear with clutch as normal once healteck installed?
In reference to your one gripe there about the bi-directional ignition kill, wasn't the option in the settings to "disable cutoff when RPM falling" used to remedy that exact symptom?
Yes it does but if the revs are not falling doesn't help, if you knock it while adjusting your feet while accelerating or steady riding you experience the cut. The new sensor is suppose to sort it but it tested it yet as broke my ankle haha
@@LambChopRides i think QS are supposed to be used on the track, and then you probs have reversed the shiftpattern. Then you prob wont have the problem??
Hey lambchop! Great video, I've been looking at qs for a while and you've really helped. I could help but watch the video and think I recognize that road and then it clicked your on your way to Loomies!! I'm based in Portsmouth so I try to get up there every now and then so hopefully I'll bump into you with my own QS. Thanks again Ben
Thanks very much, loving the QS great bit of kit! Thank for the support with the new improved sensor also. Any other products which need a review don't be a stranger :)
I'm considering one of these. The HM Rod wouldn't fit on my bike as the strain gauge is too wide for the rod to frame clearance. Anyway I find this sensor very adaptable from one bike to the next. The control box seems nice and small. Do you ever use the quickshifter on the downshift...how does it perform ? Presumably one needs to quickly downshift into corners on a track right? The benefit for cable clutch systems is it saves your clutch cable. Yes these units are well priced. I subscribed. Great video. Easy to watch.. nothing obscure..all good.
I have a question that bracket going from your triple tree to your windscreen, what is that called? And where can I acquire one? Any help would be appreciated thank you so much have a great day, I love your videos by the way very informative...
You can do clutchless throttle quick shifts on any bike, you just load the gear selector then quickly blip the throttle & it’ll change gear immediately. Your thoughts?
Interesting that Healtech now show the installation of the sensor ring along the push rod as opposed to between the bolt and the spindle as in the video. I wonder if re-positioning this might have given you cleaner shifts at lower rpm's? Any thoughts?
+Daley Cornish yes they have and does improve it, also a newer model out now which has a wizard setup to make things easier. Doing a review of the new model shortly 😉
Hi Lamb ! First of all you did great video and sorry for mistake sentence because i’m from France 🇫🇷 ! I’ve a question about the QS ! I don’t understand this sensibility sensor, can u explain me please ? I own a Ninja 1000SX and i fear about the low rpm of break my gearbox because there would be a failure to damage the gearbox !! What do u think about this ? Thanks you for answer ! Ride safe from France 🇫🇷✌🏼
Hey pls advice is this bike specific ?? Does it work or fit with my normal daytona 675 2015model ? If you can share the link where to buy from would highly appreciate ...thanks in advance
Rev matching is harder, you need to adjust the timing. When I try to rev match de healtech cuts the power so cant rev match. Now you just need to try to throttle blip a little bit earlier, and than use your food to downshift
I fitted one to my CBR600 and found it annoying Knocking the shifter by accident and killing the revs so I fitted a micro switch which I think is better , I can now do either a clutch change or quick shift at any RPM and not have the unit operated unwantedly .I'm going to fit a rear brake light switch just so it's waterproof and has some fine adjustment to it . Great units though
hondabiker1960 Yeah very annoying that isnt it.. Will update the comments with what Healtech say regarding adding a shift direction option in the app if they reply..
hondabiker1960 Ya me too. I'm a little disappointed with the QS easy that I got for my MT-07. Mabey I'm doing something wrong? Do you have to close the throttle a little or can you just hold it open fully?
+BRAD FITFASTUK personally if you want something smoother at all rev ranges check out the Translogic Intellishift quick shifter. Bit more expensive but amazing bit of kit. Plus they do a downshift blipper for ride by wire yam models.. would be my choice, have a review on my channel take a look

Hi Lambchop, regarding what you said about the sensor cutting in when you hit the gear lever accidentally... does this mean it will hinder your ability to rev match coming down the box?
Mate thanks so much for this video I have been looking for a video like this cos I want to fit a quickshifter on my CBR 1000rr 07 plate and I didn't have a clue about it but now thanks to you I can definitely go for it 👍🏽
Hi! Thanks for a great review. Just have one question. If you had to choose on of the 2 you have reviewed, the hm plus and the healtech, which one would you prefer? Which is better you think? Best regards
Yes I believe they have the iqse-2 which is meant for capacitor based ignition and carburetors. I would contact healtech they will help you out with any questions, compatibility, and instructions.
I had the same problem when down shifting and killing ignition so all I did was go into the application and raise my first kill time to 6000 rpms. )07 cbr 1000 doesn't see those high rpms unless im really on it, out on country roads or the track.
Healtech have an improved sensor which detects directional movement better when fitted on the top of the shift shaft. They have very kindly sent me one to test. Will keep you posted how it works!
Just wondering did you plug the PC and then the QS into the injector loom. Just wondering if they would interfere with each other. Love your fireblade BTW.
Garage Dweller The power commander and quick shifter are two complexly stand alone units. Quick shifter piggybacks the coils, and power commander piggybacks the lower 4 injectors.

I've fitted it Michael but not tested it yet, needed a shorter shift rod due to the change of location to the shift rod. Mine was already borderline to long. Hoping to try it soon though! Let me know how you found it?
You need a blipper to do downshifts, depending on your bike some aftermarket versions are available but no the simple answer is no hehe. It has setting to support a blipper if you had one

You can do clutchless throttle quick shifts on any bike, you just load the gear selector then quickly blip the throttle & it’ll change gear immediately. Your thoughts?
Yes agreed it will but you have to close the throttle, the point of a QS is you can leave the throttle pinned open and shift.
Have you used the auto blip for downshifting?
Since over there you guys ride on the left side you guys do bike waves?
+KatanaiBlade yes it's a good point and no we don't wave but bike nods instead 😀
if you use clutch, qs again kill engine?
I question? Would you recommend this quickshifter or would you recommend another brand?
