Hello, I would like to know if the Intellishift have the two functions of shifting gears up and down without using the clutch for a 2018 CB1000R ? And what's the name of the parts to buy for this ? It is pretty complicated to understand.
Hello Lamb Chop, this is the first of your videos I've watched and I was very impressed. From the initial explanation and box opening, through to installation, test ride and final summary, you cover the lot. Just one question, if on non-ride-by-wire bikes you have to use the clutch to down-shift - I can't see the advantage of having a QS? After all, clutchless upshifts on a bike are just part of normal riding, aren't they?
+David Jebson (thebiglad) thanks David for the kind words. The difference with the qs fitted is you can change without having to close the throttle. If you are doing clutch less changes you have to close the throttle still. I know you can get pretty quick closing the throttle but not as quick as a proper quick shifter. Also it's effortless changing gear no mental concentration leaving your brain free to worry about corners 😀
May be the best QS in the market, but the range of bikes they cover is quite small. So that taken into account and the price, to me the healtech is the "better kit for most riders"
@lamb chop, after watching both of your QS video's of the healtec and translogic where to put my monney on out of these two... its a almost 300 euro/dollar diffrence. Is it worth it that 300 more?
No you don,t need a ecu flash to use the translogic i am yet to flash my ecu , did a trackday today and it was awesome it works great can wait to add the autoblip to it
Also its not difficult to install i did it myself just from watching lambchop vid and the shop i bought mines from swith the wiring on the jacks to suit the r6 before sending it to me so it was literally plug and play
Hi there and thanks for the reviews. I have a pcv on my blade and i am thinking about buying a shifter. I would like to know your opinion about the way the shifters work. witch is better for the engine? those that cut the spark plugs or those that cut the fuel injectors? or it doesn't matter for the phases of the engine operation and cylinder temperatures and etc? Thanks in advance.
Your blade is looking sweet Chops! I need one of these quick shifters in my life, if one I had the spare cash. Time to sell some old junk to raise some dosh!
If you made a vid of a product like this for my company, I'm certain i'd just let you keep the quick-shifter as a thank you, for even bothering....let alone the highly informative & skillfully put together, glowing review...Ahem!! I'm talking to you Translogic ;) I do like a company that provides everything you need to fit their product with the product itself. Just got a £200 fmf header for the drz...didn't even come with bolts!
haha thanks Bimble, its an amazing piece of kit, worth the extra money over some of the other systems out there I was a bit taken aback by how good it really was!
Lamb... I’m looking to buy a quick shifter for my R6 track bike but can’t justify the price of the Translogic one... which would you Recommend the healtech or hm?
HI! After several reviews, I would say that you really help me to make a decision. Great video! Would you say that I need to add the Quickshifter adjuster they sell?
Awesome vid mate! been searching for a decent review of this product. I currently have an annitori on my 09 R1 but i just can't get it to work smoothly throughout all the gears. Ive been searching for a more street usable QS. something i can use midrange and at 70% throttle for example. Much like the OEM shifter on an S1000rr. So you believe this is the one for the task?
+Mike Alpha hi Mike thanks for the feedback, yes it absolutely is IMO. Plus for the R1 you could get the blip assist module and I'm sure would then be better than the stock S1000rr QS then! The Healtech unit is also very good but if you want the best the Translogic is worth the extra money.
hey Chops, Im planning on getting one for my 2006 fireblade. But im in the Netherlands, so I was wondering what you paid for that QS including vat in pounds?
O no soz I made u drop one lol well I'm looking forward to c reveal 👍 I just looked at price of quick shifter might have to give it miss it bit too much for me I only just got the cash up for my new bike lol and I'm still save for after market exhaust 😕
This looks fantastic. Does this work well for "casual" everyday street riding? Or is it better suited for more "spirited" rides? I have some neurological issues affecting my left hand and looking to reduce my use of the clutch whenever possible. Thanks for the great videos!!
I know I'm 3 months late to this but I'd recommend learning clutchless shifting yourself, there's plenty of tutorials on TH-cam. I've ridden one handed on long journeys and never touch the left grip because I'm clutchless up- and down-shifting. I'd also recommend looking into an easy pull clutch lever, RSC and 1FNGR are the best known options for street and stunt bikes. With a quickshifter, unless it's generally a factory one, you won't get quite as smooth and nice shifts as you would using the clutch at lower revs and throttle
jwkzzr I’m gonna have to disagree there, I know people who have quickshifters and not stock ones that have performed amazing for them. Also constantly clutchless shifting has has potential to damage your gear box.
Thanks for the replies! I ended up getting a wicked deal on a Healtech iqse and simply couldn't pass it up - it is absolutely amazing. Simple to install/set up/adjust via the app. Shifts are precise and buttery smooth in all riding conditions (slow cruising to wot) - zero issues. As good or better than the factory QS/AB units I have experience with. I have no doubt that the Translogic is every bit as good, but for the price I couldn't turn this one down.
@@dtbrown1978 I live in Canada and got mine through Bayside Performance (a Canadian Distributor). I've been doing dyno runs today and that iQSE is working like a dream
Lamb Chop, rather random and probably silly question right here, does your quickshifter quickshift down the gearbox? I've got an Intellishift on my CRF it goes up lovely, but after months of using it, today I realised it goes downwards... The little blue light doesn't flash and I wasn't aware it was suppose to work downwards, is this the case with yours or have I got a gearbox about to explode? Lol
+acdcjonnyboy yeah I would pack in the downshift changes! You need to blip when you downshift, the only shifters you can downshift with are ones with blippers built in. If you blip manually as you downshift then fine 👍
No I know you have to like match the revs coming down, but I caught my gear lever by mistake, and it dropped down the gear like it goes up, didn't know if the Translogic shifters worked like that lol
+acdcjonnyboy doesn't make any odds going down Jonny, no load on the gearbox anyway so cutting the ignition doesn't do anything so the QS isn't doing anything. Rev matching is all you have to do.
Lamb Chop Rides thank you for the quick reply much appreciated, ive tried their website but cant seem to find a throttle blipper on there for my bike kawasaki zx6r 636 2016 and thank you for your very informative video
+kingbullykutta at the moment I think only the yam models are compatible with the blipper, it's something you could add later when & if ever available for kwacks 😀
Lamb Chop Rides thanks brother, i have decided i will go for TransLogic thanks to you , at first i was keen on HealTech after watching your video till i seen this vid lol, also one very last question, can i still use the clutch to upshift gears without using the TransLogic QS?
+kingbullykutta yes I love healtech but this is the better unit for all round usability, much smoother changes at lower revs and 1st to 2nd cfanges. Yes you can still shift with the clutch if you want too. 👍

And they'll tell you what to order. Its also easy to set up as you need the power commander software on a laptop and enable the quickshifter feature within the power commander. I've done research into this as i want one for my bike
@@reecestanford426 planning something as well, and i'd like your input. got an 05 R1 that i'm setting up to use as a sporty road bike with a few trackdays in mind, but a few years later to be converted to a trackday only bike. my mind is dead set on a power commander 5 to dial in the exhaust and intake setup, but it seems like i would be more interested in fitting the TL quickshifter over the dynojet one. i know it's easier and cleaner to go with dynojet but i reckon the TL is gonna do a smoother job on the road.
Sorry if you have answered this before, but what happens when you use the transmission normally (using the clutch)? Does it kill the motor with the clutch in? Thanks!
I have see you tried both Healtech and Translogic. Which one would you say is the best Value for money? I am between these two for my Hayabusa 2009 Thanks in advance.
Konstantinos Fasoulas prices are almost the same for me here, you CAN get nice shifts out of the healtech (I’ve had two) but they are sensitive to the pressure applied to the sensor and can be overly responsive or dead with an 1/4 turn on the nut. I’ve had momentary engine cut outs on both bikes from going fast (wind pressure on shift lever) and also accidental bumps of the shift lever with my foot too. My next purchase will be one of these, they seem much more complete.

+iNaths yes that's just the sort of sound it has at low rpm shifts, I personally love it!
So the only connection to the OEM loom is between the coil packs, no original ECU play?
Great video my man, sounds like you have that set up perfectly. Keep up the good work and ride safe.
the autoblip downshift assist is the best thing since sliced bread!
Hi. Can you down shift on this ?
May be the best QS in the market, but the range of bikes they cover is quite small.
So that taken into account and the price, to me the healtech is the "better kit for most riders"
@lamb chop, after watching both of your QS video's of the healtec and translogic where to put my monney on out of these two... its a almost 300 euro/dollar diffrence. Is it worth it that 300 more?
I would say yes its worth it!!! Went out on my bike today and the shifting is smoother than the new Fireblade SP!!
great!! , i think you and ofc. the great video pulled me over!! keep up the nice work..
installed my translogic QS on my r6 tonight now came back from a test ride wowwwwww love it can wait to get on the track next will be the blip assit
Grafton Gomes do I need an ECU flash also? I have a 2008 r6r
Also, how difficult was it to install on the R6?
So which one do you like better? Healtech or translogic?
Your blade is looking sweet Chops! I need one of these quick shifters in my life, if one I had the spare cash. Time to sell some old junk to raise some dosh!
+Coldfin9er clear out the old junk and get yourself one, gives an old bike that new bike feel with some modern toys 🤓
The glove at the end,i have the same hole, best mod for gloves 😁
Great vid mate as always
If you made a vid of a product like this for my company, I'm certain i'd just let you keep the quick-shifter as a thank you, for even bothering....let alone the highly informative & skillfully put together, glowing review...Ahem!! I'm talking to you Translogic ;)
I do like a company that provides everything you need to fit their product with the product itself. Just got a £200 fmf header for the drz...didn't even come with bolts!
haha thanks Bimble, its an amazing piece of kit, worth the extra money over some of the other systems out there I was a bit taken aback by how good it really was!
What are your thoughts on IRC components qs compared to this one?
Lamb... I’m looking to buy a quick shifter for my R6 track bike but can’t justify the price of the Translogic one... which would you Recommend the healtech or hm?
You have tried the sp quickshifter..?
HI! After several reviews, I would say that you really help me to make a decision. Great video!
Would you say that I need to add the Quickshifter adjuster they sell?
+Pedro Galindo it's a great system Pedro, no I woundnt get the manual adjuster you won't need it!
Does this unit allow up and down shifts? Cheers 👍🏼
Does the Translogic mitigate false neutrals?
+jeroen klein geltink I was only lent the QS to try Jeroen have to return it so not sure.. Have a look at their website in the description ☝
+Lamb Chop Rides oi thanks. gotta make the blade more jizz machine than it already is. your vid certainly got me more hyped about this QS
Is this video tested with MV Agusta ?
Would this work with a power commander 5
Nice..what bike are riding here...
Ur bikes is looking good buddy 👍👍. I might have to get the Quick shifter kit
+Tattofear Fear thanks very much, full reveal video coming soon... We'll sort of spoilt that now haven't I... Doh
O no soz I made u drop one lol well I'm looking forward to c reveal 👍 I just looked at price of quick shifter might have to give it miss it bit too much for me I only just got the cash up for my new bike lol and I'm still save for after market exhaust 😕
great job once again L C . . How much are they ?
+Pj Gallen they are quite expensive PJ, £380 but I guess you get what yo pay for 👍
😊 Tis true . . The beast is looking good by the way !!
@@andrew671 May I ask where you got yours?
@@dtbrown1978 I live in Canada and got mine through Bayside Performance (a Canadian Distributor). I've been doing dyno runs today and that iQSE is working like a dream
Hey I have a this same one how do I put it in pro tune mode
Hello Lamb Chop can you tell me if these QS can be used to upshift at low speeds many thanks
+kingbullykutta yes absolutely that's what it excels at, so smooth at low rev shifts
Anyone know if this is available for a 2013 BMW K1600 GTL ?
Great install and review thank you, and they make one for my bike so I'll buy one real soon
definitely getting one of these bad boy's but I won't be able to fit it to my bike without one of your customer tea cups ! there a must if I say so myself (?
+BRAD FITFASTUK haha 😀 you won't be disappointed it's the best kit out there 👍
Can this system be used with a Power Commander V connected to my bike? My CBR1000rr is GP shift. What system do I need?
David Gandy power commander make a quickshifter for the power commander V. Drop them an email saying what you're after and if you're running rearsets or not and what shift you're running aswell.
I had the HM quickshifter on my RC8r, the translogic looks infinitely better. Good work LCR, now get some new gloves... 👍🏻😂
+ewanoffshore haha cheers Ewan, yeah gloves need some attention next lol
What bike n you riding?
Sold. Is it necessary to remove the tank to gain access to the coil packs, or could you just swivel it out of the way?
Remove the tank to remove the air box to get to the coils
Is it Plug and Play?
Thank you. I watched video twice and You have answered my question.... Thanks
Thanks for this Chops. You've made up my mind.
Cool video that enjoyed it, thing im going to order one for my fzr600!
I love your vids LC, been looking for a qs for my 15plate blade, healtech etc, but this looks the nuts. Thanks...
Yes it the business Nick, highly recommended!!
ouch TL £450 HT £220...
+nick hill yes indeed but it's twice as good!! Honesty if you can afford the extra it's well worth it.
Well i love the blade, and even though there are other mods i can do, i think this will be well worth it...
+nick hill yes you won't regret it I promise!
which one is better Translogic QSX or Translogic Intellishift ?
Intellishift is the better one. You will only buy the QSX product if Translogic does not make a Intellishift for your bike model.
intellishift is the top model , qsx is a mid level more simple to adjust model
I assumed it was plug and play , struggling on getting it to work
I know it looks great and very good quality👌 oh and the qwick shifter isn't bad looking either 😉
Sorry if you have answered this before, but what happens when you use the transmission normally (using the clutch)? Does it kill the motor with the clutch in?
Thanks!
+cheecogregthegreat yeah you can not use it and use the clutch as normal it's works perfectly normally
Great review Chop!
thanks Rayo
is this good for a yamaha r6 from 1999 to 2002?
yes perfect Lysandro! Get one ordered
does it downshift as well?
LC were did you purchase yours for £380 £455 is the cheapest I can see 😔
Thanks . .
+pj Gallen yeah that was plus the dreaded vat 😣😣
Lamb Chop Rides 😣 thanks LC
£419 on the bay delivered, cheaper than translogic website @ £431
did u leave with factory setting kill times/
Yes absolutely stock
Had my TransLogic QS installed this monday by Tony at Parkitt Racing NEWARK :)
looks quality, they even make a blipper, yes please
+axle s it is Axle, very impressive indeed! I really want the blipper too.. Just not going to happen on mine though 😞
Does it work Upshifting and downshifting
Oops you answered my question later in the video for Yamaha. Thanks
Thank you so much for rewiew
What about neutral to first?
Use the clutch, you cannot shift from neutral to 1st gear with any quickshifter or even shift into neutral you have to use the clutch.
lol
Put this on my 2011 cbr 1000rr and getting false neutrals.
Get a Gilles shift rod support.
I have see you tried both Healtech and Translogic. Which one would you say is the best Value for money? I am between these two for my Hayabusa 2009
Thanks in advance.
@@chasp_0784 Too late :) I already installed the healtech. I am a bit dissapointed that I did not notice before that I cannot use it for changes from 1st to 2nd because 90% of the cases hits neutral. (it was mentioned somewhere on the website but I didnt see it). Other than that I am satisfied with it, it takes sometime to get used to it and set up all the settings.
Thanks for the reply though!
@@konstantinosfasoulas1787 i have it on my 2020 z900, it sucks so hard. False neutrals, sitting in between gears. I'm getting rid of it and getting this one! Went to a racing company and they said they are not selling healtech anymore. To many problems and customers complaining - like me :D
@@konstantinosfasoulas1787 Thanks for this review. Now I'm gonna buy the translogic!
update: Its been over a month now I am in contact with Healtech and we are trying to set it up properly but it turns out that it is not working smoothly, I am in contact with the seller to see the return and refund options. I wouldnt go back to it for no reason. Too many issues and too many things to go wrong... 1st to 2nd doesnt work 5 to 6th returns False neutral and so on.....
Looks like you finally have a quick shifter as good as my Bazzaz usb quick shifter. Btw, search for pro shift auto blipper.
yes indeedy, still need to try yours! Now your sorted all the suspension even better ;-)
+Lamb Chop Rides bike is here anytime you want it...
Once u wire them up ( are these plug /play and work ? ( is4)
And are they clutchless up/ down clutchless shift
@@johnhomles2711 man did you even listen what he said in his video?
That's really cool.
As much as I'd love one on my bike, I'm struggling to justify it... IF I upgraded my bike to an outright sportsbike then I think there would be easy justification then...
Still, excellent review LCR :-D
Yes difficult to justify its a lot of money, your right on a sports bike it makes perfect sense but its one of those things that after you get used to using it going back isnt an option, no matter what bike :)
I have a question ... I have my ecu flashed and I got a custom tune for my bike .. will I have to retune my bike if I install this product ? .. bike are a z 900 2018 .. is there anything that should be done to the bikes ecu when installing a qs ? ...
No you dont have to retune with a QS system
Nope as Thanos says 👍
