INSANE! if I was ASOBO I'd be on the phone with you guys yesterday...this is what MSFS ATC should have been
It took FSX more than a decade until it was more or less complete. Be patient young padawan.
@Nyruami FSX is complete now ? It is still a big mess of a sim. Microsoft ditched the game 2 years after its release, and no 3rd party overcame the major issues of FSX in that decade: dated graphical engine, crappy flight model, robotic atc and traffic, poor performance and newer hardware.
You need the main dev of the sim to develop core features. Addons can only go so far ...
And MSFS only fixed the graphics of FSX and the global scenery. The rest is still lacking.
@@mro9466 it´s more or less complete. If you invest a few thousand bucks in Third Party Software, it´s pretty good now.
This is fantastic, I cannot wait to get my hands on this, flying in VR with end to end ATC will be a dream come true. Congrats go the beyond ATC team, you guys are innovating the most important aspect of flight simulation in my opinion.

Hopefully, a future video in this series will look specifically at helicopters, their non-standard approaches, off-airfield landing requirements and nearly 100% VFR use as regards your new and exciting ATC world...
I was also just thinking of the many ways transponder codes could be used much more realistically, when added to a framework that is completely under the control of your software.... the options are endlesss whatever way I consider it. No wonder it is all so exciting.
Bloody awsome. Back in the day I was a member of the Radar Contact (RC) beta-team (ATC for FSX). All RC4 did was stopping/starting AI aircraft to prevent "crash" (and deleting aircraft that got stuck for more then X seconds). For RC5 there were plans for more interaction, but the project got scrapped for personal reasons. In my view ATC will only "work" if/when controlling the AI-traffic, and this really seams like a game changer. Good job guys !!!

I'm really impressed with what you've accomplished here. My jaw literally drops open. You're taking the word "beyond" to the next level. I'm very curious to see what else you can accomplish with, for example, pushback, aircraft wingspan to prevent wing collisions, etc. But I am convinced that you will accomplish everything. It takes time and take that time so that it becomes the number 1 in ATC and beyond-tool. Many compliments and good luck with the development. You already have me as a customer.

What you've done here is going to have far-reaching effects beyond this program. I hope other devs are able to model their programs outside the sim and not rely on MSFS to do the work.

KLAX is a very wide airport with a dual lane taxiway system. I assume it is getting more tricky on ADs where IN and OUTBOUND traffic have to share one single taxiway.
I would be curious if the system can manage backtracks/backtaxi on runways like Funchal LPMA or Split LDSP? That would be amazing as it does not only affect the ground traffic but also the approach and departure sequence massively.

places like amsterdam with its very specific taxi flow is worth doing customly, but this system of dynamically modelling the taxi flow for the rest of the 40 thousand plus airports is genius! Can't wait to use your software

I don't normally comment on TH-cam videos, but this is insane!!! I mean I was excited about BeyondATC since the original announcement of the whole new way of interacting with ATC by natural language...but I mean this has the potential to completely revolutionize how simmers experience their flights in IFR or VFR.
Fully agree with the change in scope as the only way to have an immersive experience with ATC is to control the whole chain.
These guys are trendsetters and I really hope this sets a baseline and a culture of what can be achieved for future developers.
P.S.: please don't forget the VR users and plan something for us, I understand is not the main user base and priority but in the mid term would be great to have a solution.

I'm curious though - will the planes that spawn in have their nose facing away from the gate? Or, will you eventually have the planes pushed back from the gate like in real life?

Man I can’t wait for this. I don’t like vatsim cuz I’m always too nervous about it. But with this, I can relax and take my time while enjoying a realistic atc.
Absolutely brilliant! You are picking up a ball that flight sim development from the FS/FSX days has left sitting on the ground and running to the future with it! Thank You! It sounds like this approach can cure long-standing headaches like taxi speed, runway speed, stuck aircraft, etc. It also sounds like this is will impact all airports equally, large commercial and GA. Will it be the case that a user can give B-ATC access to their own collection of AI-ready models, GA or Airliner, and let it use them all by type based on whatever instructs the injection? WAY beyond ATC. I’m your customer already!
Wow! I cannot wait. This will change my SIM dramatically. I am sure whatever the price it will be well worth it.
I hope you guys can get the animations for flaps, spoilers, reversers all working properly. Even having realistic landing gear loading/compression and unloading would be amazing as the airplanes land and takeoff. Perhaps even the odd runway excursion or engine fire on the AI aircraft? Perhaps emergency vehicles scrambling to an aircraft? The possibilities are endless!

Looks amazing, I wish that AIG/BeyondATC did a collab and worked together on creating a AI traffic model which has animations and has ground service like cathering passengers boarding doors opening etc. But also in 8K!
Looks really nice so far! - all the aircraft starting from the gate are leaving nose first - I'm assuming the model will eventually account for pushing back and engine start?
Solving for KSFO will be the benchmark for AI traffic, I think, - parallel landings on the 28s and parallel takeoffs on the 01s, all sequenced.
Getting AI planes on and off the runway much faster will be such an improvement + not allowing AI planes onto the runway when the player is on short final ;)
A blend of Live traffic and scheduled traffic would be really nice - Live for aircraft movements, scheduled for static planes at the gates - so you don't have empty airports with planes just spawning in as they're moving...

Very cool. I think in an earlier video you said that it wouldn't be possible to know the taxi route that AI aircraft would take, so this is a great update :) You said that it works with any airport, I was worried about 3rd party airports being encrypted, glad to read that this won't be a problem.
