I know this isn't on everyone's mind, but doesn't Mufasa COME from a long line of nobility? He straight up talks about the kings before him in the original.

Wait wasn't Mufasa descended from a bunch of kings, didn't he tell Simba that? I mean you could argue he was referring to King's in general and not exclusively from their lineage but that clearly wasn't originally intended.

@@christopherosias7374Live action and 2D animation are so stylistically different, you can hardly compare them, you can adapt the same story both ways and have two completely different experiences. Problem is, Disney hasn't really nailed live action.
It is already a fully animated movie. That’s all CGI.

At least The Phantom Menace had a story to tell, new worlds, new characters and strong production values which is more than I can say for Mufasa’s bland nature look.
They had more emotion on the lion in the cgi lion the witch and the wardrobe 10+ years ago. And Disney can't figure it out.

A group of individuals who’s livelihood depends on transporting goods has their routes cutoff by the Star Wars equivalent of the East India Trading Company and their plight is made worse by a corrupt Republic and their go to Senator did nothing but take advantage of them for his own political gain. Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon are sent to settle that conflict.

@jimbo9208 Not sure about a conic book, but there is a short book called A Tale of Two Brothers. Just make sure to Google the Lion King version. This little book has gotten really expensive in the last couple years compared to the other books in the series.

I don't even know how they managed to get that. The first (3D) movie had nothing that 2D already had. 3D movie didn't enhance older movie in any shape or form, except they made accurate lion models with Blender. They ruined the song from bright and happy into downer (which is like how and why even change intro music at all). Those realistic models has no reaction to anything. World looked gray all the time. They changed phasing, they changed the mood, they ruined my childhood. And once again, no one asked for that movie in the first place. They did it just because original 2D brought Disney back in during those hard times of 90's. BTW where is that amazing Snow White movie, hmmm. Can't wait to see that fiasco.
I liked the 3d one. A new spin with new actors in a very visually amazing way. THIS however I wouldn't have believed if I hadn't just seen it.

The part when Mufasa yelled "You're a mistake, Miles!" at Madame Web, right after Harry Potter gave Jesus Christ his coveted Straw Hat and started the New Republic era across Middle Earth, bringing balance to the Airbenders and the Na'vi, was truly a moment to behold! I was SHOOKETH! It nearly made Morb! Truly a moment of all cinema!

They better have a good reason for why Mufasa hasn't come from nobility in this movice, because if they are saying he is the first lion King, then this isn't a canon film as in the original Lion King Simba is told by Mufasa that the stars are the Kings of the past...will Disney claim he meant kings in general to help them create this story, if so that's just weird.

The 1994 Lion King is my all time favorite animated movie. The 2019 remake is one of my least favorite movies of all time. When this was announced I was so aggressively against it until they announced Barry Jenkins' involvement. Then I was cautiously intrigued. I'm still approaching this cautiously but this looks... kinda good? It looks a lot more colorful and visually interesting than its predecessor. I just hope this time around the characters are more expressive and the story something we haven't already seen before
