- Behind the voice actors of Disney's Mufasa: The Lion King (2024), a live-action prequel of the Lion King franchise. Aaron Pierre voices young Mufasa, and Kelvin Harrison Jr. voices Taka (young Scar). Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner reprised their roles as Timon and Pumbaa, as did John Kani who voiced Rafiki after 2019's The Lion King. James Earl Jones and Jeremy Irons do not reprise their voice roles in 2024's Mufasa: The Lion King.

Yeah, it's always interesting what was before
While I am very interested in it because I love the lion king. That first statement is FALSE information. For real Mufasa was NOT an orphan. Mufasa and Taka-aka Scar, are blood brothers of the same litter born to parents king Ahadi and queen Uru. Queen Uru was born of king Mohatu who is Simbas great great grandfather and the original founder, the ultimate patriarc, if you will, of the pridelands in establishing that territory for years to come.
Information that he was an orphan cub in this movie is from many sources. But you're right, it's not the lore.
As far as I know all of this was actually never considered canon by Disney
In this movie, they are not blood brothers and Mufasa is an orphan. They actually were never blood brothers to begin with

There's no information about them yet (only from the lore).
Mufasa is an orphan who gets adopted by Scar aka Taka's parents.
@@SBNEnterMufasa doesn't have parents in this movie and all that I'm with is that he'll be getting adopted by Taka's parents.
Which admittedly could play into Scar’s issues; thinking your adopted sibling is loved more than you….can do some damage to your mental state

In this live-action Mufasa is an orphan (an official synopsis). He and Taka (Scar) isn't brothers by blood.

So Rafiki, Timon & Pumba will be telling Kiara the backstory of Mufasa which makes NO SENSE Timon & Pumba didn’t exist in Mufasa time growing up or as he became King they know nothing about him but that he is Simba father also Mufasa as an orphan is not canon AT ALL they always switching stuff this is going to be horrible sidenote I wonder was Rafiki even in Mufasa time growing up or when he first became an adult lion?

@@SBNEnter Ok so that makes sense Rafiki was present in the same timeframe as Mufasa growing up but still Timon & Pumba is stupid cause I know for a fact they didn’t exist in Mufasa time therefore they shouldn’t be alongside Rafiki telling a backstory they know nothing about.
Yea making Mufasa be born not of noble blood doesn't make sense they made it very clear that he was so does this mean that Disney is retconning that him and Scar aren't brothers?
