Love this. I'm going to make one. But for the wood ends and stand I'm going to make a silicone mold and cast it in resin and for the concrete I will use CSA cement instead. Thanks for sharing this. Look great.
Great to see the electronics mounted with standoffs instead of that awful hot glue you see so often in TH-cam videos! Great job! (edited to add - I typed that before noting you used hot glue for one board! lol)
Very good video and design , thanks ! But one question. Isnt it better to have the switch at the input red wire (power socket) so that the TP4056 board is powerless when not in use (switch off) ?
The tp4056 module draws little current and is designed to be connected directly to the battery. The Bluetooth module draws quite a bit of current, which is why it is switched.

This is really cool. I love the "ancient" yet modern look of it.
Thanks.
Nice work. I really like 👍
Nigel! That voice is pure gold!

That gave me a laugh ;-)
Awesome effort bro
Nicely done, great industrial look.
Thanks for sharing,
Cheers
This is so freaking cool! So how does it sound compared to an off-the-shelf Bluetooth speaker?

Done very nicely, does the concrete interfere with the BT signal?
No it has good range
Very neat and well explained 👍
Nice craft!
And more seriously what the sound like?
The bit at the end was the sound recorded on a zoom h2n recorder
I thought he'd use the concrete chamber for sound not stuffing stuff in there. And why you need a battery in a CONCRETE speaker???? :)
It's a rechargeable, wireless, bluetooth speaker.
You sound like Jude law
