Thank you, this video has validated one of the most mind bending experiences of my life that I can never articulate, that no one wants to hear or would even believe.

Really? Your comment provokes me to wonder and ask you if you would share what happened to you because I used to refuse to share stuff because no one would believe.
Actually, I think I had surrounded myself with the wrong people because not only would they not believe but they were simply "not interested"
I'm intrigued, so maybe you can choose a few choice words to simply give me the bare facts?
Or a glimpse into how it made you have this new perspective?

To the person who asked you to share more details of your "mind bending" past that cannot even now in healing be spoken off: coercion is so powerful a tool that skilfully used, the malignant narcissistic for example can get a beautifully brought up Sunday school teacher to perform degrading, obscene, unwanted, satanic, horrific acts in dangerous settings where potential exposure - with character ruination - part of the narcissistic thrill. This example, shall we say, is merely that, but the truth is even worse perhaps. So on a public forum, do not ask recovering victims to expose the evil that was perpetuated upon them. The answers are often so far into the dark abyss that NO ONE would believe that a decent human being could ever be brought so low as to perform them. I really hope that I have made my point. Thank you for understanding. ❤

Richard, your experience with the therapist gaslighting you or pinging you as you called it. I’ve experienced this with a few therapists, I believed them, I thought I was a horrible person for trying to develop my boundaries. I started to look into videos on bad therapy and what to look for. There is and interesting guy on the TH-cam by the name of Daniel Mackler, he does a short and painful video on how therapists will intentionally damage their clients for a variety of reasons, one of wick you eluded to being that you know more about something than they do. This makes being radically honest about things VERY DIFFICULT. I was shattered by a trauma therapist a couple years ago and am still trying to put myself together. Realizing that there are people in this space to gratify themselves at our expense really gave me back a lot of stolen agency.

This is pure gold. Richard is spot on! As usual.
He is absolutely right about hero worship and imitation of one's idols as an evolutionary strategy - his adolescent feelings towards Charlton Heston/Ben Hur were entirely natural and Hollywood in its heyday was brilliant at exploiting that natural tendency by providing incredibly glamorous alpha males and alpha females as role models.
And it isn't just an adolescent tendency - a lot of narcissistic control is based on the narcissist having great charm, charisma and sex appeal and being highly seductive even to heterosexual members of the same sex.
I knew a devastatingly successful somatic narcissist woman who could have anyone she wanted wrapped around her little finger in no time by exploiting her considerable beauty and sex appeal - even with straight women - who just fell at her feet - she was a master puppeteer.
The only people who were immune to her hypnotic qualities were those of us she openly despised and had no time for.
But even we could fall under her spell if she turned on the charm for a moment to get some favour out of us.
What was especially upsetting was that her ugly side was incredibly ugly - she was one of the nastiest people I have ever known - gratuitously so - she was a sadist always attacking the weak purely for sport and to feel powerful.
She was also frequently disappointing because behind the facade she was quite mediocre - a fairly average person - and very inauthentic and unoriginal - it was all clever window dressing.
But I saw people fall for her act again and again and had to admit the power of her physical charms and seductiveness was indisputable which is why female stars have just as many if not more female fans.
We long to have their power and observe closely hoping some of the magic will rub off on us if only we can learn their techniques of enchantment.

It’s so interesting to hear Mark talk about the comfort he finds in order, and more interestingly for myself his mention of visual order having a similar effect. I work with children on the Autism spectrum and lining up, organizing visuals and objects is what many of the children do to regulate themselves, it’s their happy place . However they will often get stuck there and are reluctant to move on from the organizing and would rather stay in their reality.

Another idea- we are born to look up to and learn from our parents- we rely on them to provide a sense of safety, security, belonging, etc. So when they fail miserably, we turn to other sources to be our ‘heroes’ and in our vulnerable state we are gladly accepted by narcissists and cults where those primal needs are pseudo met.

I’m not done watching but I HAD to comment @~12:45 Richard talks about the “payoff” in narcissistic abuse… I hate being such a sycophant but OMG ding ding ding Richard nails it AGAIN!! Friends would ask me repeatedly what do I get out of remaining “friends” with this person who totally used me for his own self-serving needs as a human pet of sorts… the sense of Certainty that Richard articulates is exactly it. I’d never been able to verbalize that before, but it 100% rings true. He walks through life with sense of mixed arrogance and distain… there is no questioning his point of view, whether he’s qualified for a job, good enough to date, making the right life choices… in his view there IS no other way, always. And there is a sort of comfort that comes with being “partnered” with someone who is just seemingly is so cool and collected and has his shit so together, even if it is at the expense of all other interpersonal relationships. For someone such as myself who doubts herself *constantly*, the arrogance is welcomed oasis of outsourced confidence and decision making authority.

.... we learn that early, but when we see to much order for controlneeds, and not so much flexibilities, then we might wake up from the "spells" of those who looks like having their life totally together, and showup as, behind it all, might be a strong need to control, everything, and asking them why, never gets even a questionmark, or an answer. Just anger and or unjust defenses of, putting the other down in so many ways as possible, no dialogue ever. Then its off.
And the "spell" breaks by itself.

Unless they experienced it for themselves, I don’t see their degree as being helpful at all. I’ve been through that shit enough. Their egos are always bigger than the damn degree, and it all just sounds metaphorical to them. Or delusional or exaggerated. They don’t understand the depth of how crazy making mental and emotional abuse is, and all they know is what they read, that is most likely outdated. Waist of time and aggravating as hell….further gaslighting a persons perception of their own reality of the trauma and abuse they have been through. It makes things worse if they just don’t get it.

The fact I allowed someone back into my life repeatedly that had verbally destroyed me on a level I never had never experienced before mind boggled me. I would have bet money after first thrashing they would never cross my threshold again, yet I did.
The need for escape into the fantasy trumped my common sense, ethics, moral compass and financially. More importantly relationships that I may never be able to repair. I definitely was a willing participant in the narcissistic dance in hindsight.
Without these type of discussions I am not sure I could have owned my part in the dance. Until the relationship nearly cost me my life I let that being walk in and out of my life at their leisure. Savior complex comes to mind. Ouch!

Interesting discussion. Lots of useful thoughts and strategies.
I do have to say, the actual explanations for what's happening at Boeing are very easy and typical. The company was founded on safety and careful engineering until it went through an acquisition and became public on the stock market, at which point they intentionally moved the headquarters away from the engineers in Seattle to Chicago so suits could focus on profit without pesky safety culture around. Ever since, for decades, mechanics have been ever more rushed and intimidated into submission. And it's coming home to roost. There's endless hard evidence of this, just mountains of testimony from engineers who spent their careers there, many going back before the acquisition. It breaks my heart to hear the engineers get blamed.

You can label them and analyse them all you want but at the end of the day, they are what they are, they choose to be the person they are. I agree with what you guys are saying that we have natural urges towards tribes, validation, narcissism even etc.
But this is the difference between someone with self awareness or morals in how that fits in.
For example a snake oil salesman will not fool everyone, even though it's naturally convenient for our own opportunism to want to believe it.
So although it's relatable why people are selfish, 2 faced, hypocritical or gullible, there's levels that some people without critical thinking don't seem to recognise.
There's certain events that happen outside of any of this where you can objectively see peoples critical thinking is non existent due to emotivism or personal bias to give very controdictory logic on what they are seeing. So if that same logic is applied to themselves they are going to fall into all the personality patterns you guys speak of.

But I learnt to love and once I got educated because I wanted to be a god perant. I found out that this abuse was wrong. I'm grateful that I took this information to improve children's life I my career as a special needs teacher

No offence, but the cult is not about evolution but about surviving . The evolution is made from revolution, so it needs at least one person that puts a step outside of the cult. Every cult is looking for people not very young but in need

Really cool how you guys are splitting when talking about Fauci. It was a traumatic time so I'll give you a pass.

How are they splitting when talking about Fauci?
He said that he owns 'The' Science, (as did a spokesperson at WEF)
which is the most unscientific statement one could possibly make.
      Scientism is a cult.
      C o v I d is part of that cult.
How dare folk critically think or question it!?!
That was the trauma bond being created on a global scale with men in white jackets and criminals in suits (politians).

They weren't splitting. What they said was true.
Hence they cannot even mention the name due to big tech & big pharma censorship.
      Narcissism on the macro scale.
