Sometimes the man you don’t notice is the most dangerous of all.
Emmy winner Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul, The Post, Nebraska) stars as Hutch Mansell, an underestimated and overlooked dad and husband, taking life’s indignities on the chin and never pushing back. A nobody.
When two thieves break into his suburban home one night, Hutch declines to defend himself or his family, hoping to prevent serious violence. His teenage son, Blake (Gage Munroe, The Shack), is disappointed in him and his wife, Becca (Connie Nielsen, Wonder Woman), seems to pull only further away.
The aftermath of the incident strikes a match to Hutch’s long-simmering rage, triggering dormant instincts and propelling him on a brutal path that will surface dark secrets and lethal skills. I absolutely adore the fight scenes in this movie. Just enough to make it realistic and fun at the same time.
Yes! Especially since he hasn’t trained in years. So I like how they showed him getting his ass kicked too but slowly getting better.
And pretty fair imo, the antagonist got beaten and so as the protagonist (except Davey)
The bus scene is great. Especially when he wraps the bell cord around one bad guy's neck and starts banging his head against the window. The bell is ringing and the sign lights up, "Please Stop."

Of course its alot like John Wick, but it has alot of its own qualities that make it it's own movie. The main antagonist isn't all alone, he has a family, he has a job. And lets not forget about Christopher Lloyd.

I liked this movie a lot. Can’t get enough of Saul! I hope they make a sequel to it telling the backstory and a lot about his wife… I think she’s a lot more than they showed in the movie.
There's nothing more about his wife than a typical wife who look down her husband who earns less.

From his previous work, Bob Odenkirk seemed like such an unusual choice to play an action hero, but oh god, it seems he's friggin' brilliant at it !!!
When this first popped up on Netflix, I watched it out of curiosity. A couple months later, all I could remember was the basic plot and that I'd thought it was really good, so I just watched it again........ Yep. It's still good. :D
It's refreshing to see an "Old fashioned" action film these days, where no one's trying to cram "Woken" philosophies down your throat, or trying to crow bar some agenda into the storyline. I'm happy to see that the studio went with the classic plot of "Wronged man seeks revenge", with guns, explosions, cars, and bodies dropping like flies...... it's the sort of movie related escapism an old fashioned guy like me misses.

It's not just action packet, it has some good humor in it too. Don't expect a great plot, it's a straight forward movie, as simple as it gets, a quiet guy gets angry and turns into the same badass beast he supposedly was before retirement. It's really good though, I can't stretch it enough, go watch it!
