Central Budapest, Hungary: Highlights

Hungary's capital Budapest is blessed with a magnificent bounty of art and architecture. Due to the exceedingly scenic setting, and its architecture it is nicknamed "Paris of the East".
On the eastern side the Danube river is central Budapest. It was once a city called Pest, with the Parliament, numerous other stately buildings, and busy streets retaining their 19th century architectural heritage.
