One thing to mention here you cannot just say that positive working cap are good and negative bad. Reason for +ve and -ve is important.
Suppose my W Cap is -ve because I have received advance from customers then it is a really good sign as I can manufacture my products without taking loans.
But according to thoertical positive wc is good
But pratical lot of company have negative wc

Nehi samja
Liabilities = Assets
Isme mujhe 2 questions hain.
1. Maine kuch loan liya aur us se employees ki salary pay kardi. Ab liability to badh gayi par employees salary assets to nhi hota he. To liability aur asset equal kaise honge?
2. Maine loan liya aur car kharid li. Ab next year car ki value deprecate ho jayegi par loan to waisa hi rahega to phir liability kaise asset ke equal hogi?
I will explain No. 2 and you can apply the same concept to No.1. First of all, the complete equation is :
Assets = Liabilities + Equity. When you have taken car loan and you are charging depreciation, then it will not just impact hre the Assets side of BS, but also the Net Income in the Profit and Loss Account, thereby reducing the owner's Equity by the same amount. Suppose you have taken 5000 as loan and Depreciation is 1000. Then, as per equation:
A(5000) = L(5000) + E(0)
After 1 year of Depreciation,
A(4000) = L(5000) + E(-1000).
Equity is -1000 bcoz your net profit is reduced by 1000 Depreciation.
Hope this makes sense.
