We dont learn finance being from commerce background . Instead we only learn accounting which is backward looking whereas finance is forward looking.
Every commerce/CA student should be shown this kind of videos/lectures as a part of their curriculum. Annual report does give insights about the fundamentals of the company that is a integral part of stock analysis.

CEO as per google search is Issam Bachaalani. He is paid 865.34 lakh which is 6.9% of the ceiling 865.34. But their are multiple executive directors who are together paid 16% of the ceiling.

Nice insightful video. You mention at the start of the video that we can find out the revenue generated by the company for each of its product/service from the annual report, but there is no mention about it in the later part of the video. Could you share more details on how this could be done?

sir! i have watched all previous videos of this series and they were so informative 👌👌 .......but one common thing about analysing them was they had ratios and financial statements of 5 years but what if a company has ratios of 2 years and financial statements aren't sufficient............. should we avoid to invest in them???

Colgate's net profit is 775 cr approx. Hence MD's salary should be within 7.75cr. In this case MD's total gross salary is almost 7.7 cr. It's quite high from my point of view.

As I have checked colgate palmolive salary chart for MD's and other chairman perons.. In total it is very good and lesser than ceiling as per section act. Total as per section should not be more than 113,04.39. However, company is paying very less that is 17,80.56.

If you look closely, All the positives in an Annual Report would be written in big Fonts, and all the negatives in time Fonts. So you know, you have to look at the things which are in small Fonts more closely.

Hello sir, as per Annual report for the FY 2020-21 Colgate palmolive (India) Ltd, Net profit after tax is ₹ 103539 Lakhs & as per company act 10% Ceiling is ₹ 10353.9 Lakhs and company gives ₹ 877.86 Lakhs (8.47%), ₹ 363.28Lakhs (3.50%), ₹ 416.09 Lakhs (4.01%) & ₹ 178.60 Lakhs (1.72%) to MD, Director & (CFO), Director & Executive Vice President (customer development) & Director & Vice President (Legal) respectively.
Sir, i think company gives more salary to MD but others are ok

An company net profit in this particular year is 770 cr nearly
So management board salary percentage = 2.3% approx ( compare with netprofit)
