- The Forgotten Art Collection
In the 1920s, in a corner of Paris, there was a man who dedicated his life to art: Jules Martin. A painter and collector, Jules spent almost his entire fortune buying works by young and unknown artists. However, his passion brought him to the brink of bankruptcy, and he spent the last years of his life confined to an apartment.
When Jules died, no one realized the value of his collection. His apartment, filled with paintings, sculptures, and sketches, was sealed by the city council due to the lack of heirs. For 70 years, this apartment remained untouched, a time capsule no one entered.
In the 1990s, during restoration work, the apartment was reopened, revealing lost works by artists like Picasso, Modigliani, and Matisse. The collection was worth over a billion dollars.
