1:27 that is the most humble and most respectable way anyone could’ve possibly said that 💯 most people prolly would’ve said “I have a lot of money and I’m very rich so I can buy the nice equipment”

Gone from 105 kg down to 80kg (230lbs to 175lbs) with your help over the course of a year.
Thank you for everything that you and your team do, keep up the good work!

No, not cheesy at all, Thomas. Loved to see you in your 'natural environment'. I always wondered what kind of workout & equipment would create a body like that. Want to hear more sometime about your "rehab". I am slowly recovering from spinal & nerve damage, disability from injury and learning to balance and gain basic strength again. So please..more rehab videos; also makes things more 'real' for people like me. I used to work out, so much of this stuff isn't foreign, I get it, it's just been ages ago.

I personally appreciated the time that you took to show your equipment and the explanation of each piece. It will help me to know what I need or not need to build my own gym. Thank you!

Bro that's badass. I got my garage set up like a mma gym. Matted floors, 200lb Thai boxing bag, hook upper cut bag, kettlebells 15lbs to 50lbs, battlerope, stair climber, jump ropes, medicine balls, and pure grit thru these crazy times. Can you sometime if time permits to add in your nutrition info add with your training . Like coffee mix for cardio , strength training eat before or after etc. Especially what you have like kettlebells. Love your gym.

Thanks again for sharing Thomas. So glad you said that was a leaf blower. I was so trying to figure it out. Happy for you that you have a go to place to crush your workouts. Take care ( to any haters I’ll rip your face off). I digress. You look great Thomas. Stay fit brother.

Awesome garage gym! I would love to see some short follow-along HIIT and ab routines using some of the functional gear like the slam balls, sandbags, kettlebells, battle ropes, etc. Also, showing what you do for mobility/prehab/rehab could be super helpful too!

I for one, appreciate all the hard work (and research) that you put in to make these videos. While I am a 77 year old retired farmer / construction guy that has what most people would think an unlimited amount of time to do the research myself, I find it easier to check out some of your videos for information.
Oh, by the way, you have racks that would be so simple to install any kind of a cable system by spending most likely less than $100.

perfect set up man, well thought out. i'm half way through my own build got some things on back order... but i love being able to workout at home. i love not wearing shoes, and your so right about the ego i find my self exploring far more with my workouts. even when it comes to the weight i'm strong for a short guy but at home i will focus on my form and use lighter weights. the ego, and time restraints are gone and i find myself having the best workouts of my life right here at home.

  • @brian2851

Do you want a really cheap 120 pound atlas stone?
Get a burst-resistant stability ball and fill it with 120 pounds of water and air.
It will be incredibly unstable and a real workout. Game changer!
    I’ve never had one burst.
You can fill it to any weight you want as you progress.

I’ve been building my home gym for years. Whenever I can afford it, or whenever I find something I want to add, it goes in the gym. It’s pretty much complete, now, at least for my purposes, so when this supposed crisis happened several months ago, it didn’t affect me at all. I can get into my personal gym anytime, day or night and work as little or as much as I want to and I don’t have to fight anybody for equipment time. It’s beautiful and wasn’t really horribly expensive.

  • @JaydonRose
    @JaydonRose 4 ปีที่แล้ว

The sideways door,.... yup cool. A squat rack was my primary must have for working out heavy without a spotter. It helped me push harder on squats, bench, ohp, etc. w/o fear of getting trapped. A cheap stair stepper is also what I warm up with. I personally have a Titan rack (cheap version of the Rogue Monster rack). It has served me well and I have added more attachments as I can afford them.

I was at 154.7kg I am now at 141.1kg. My home gym set up is my old mountain bike attached to a jet black Z1 bike trainer, a Thane Total Flex home gym ( brought 7-8 years ago) and I just brought some cheap adjustable dumbbells. Waiting on the dumbbells to arrive tomorrow. I need to get into a shape that’s not round

Dude this is a great video. Equipment for my garage gym has been slowly arriving and I am looking at the last few items that I might need to cap it all off. Since I have a 1 car garage, I have to justify the space my equipment takes up which leads towards more versatile equipment. After watching this video, I added some rings/straps to my list and am searching for a good Atlas ball (probably not 90lbs, but one day I might get there).

To save space when it come to your dumbells, try getting adjustable dumbells. The best ones in the market are the powerblocks or iron masters. A cable machine is essential in a home gym

I work out barefoot at home, too-excellent point! BTW, my home gym is basically a set of resistance bands I bought when the gym closed, and a few free weights. The resistance bands provided a lot of bang for the buck, but I'd buy better ones than I had access to because of the low selection at the time COVID hit. I do resistance training with BFR bands every weekend, and I get a great response.
I find what helps my back most are rowing and pullover tricep extensions. I also use a foam roller for my thorax.

+1 working out barefoot or w/ minimalist/barefoot shoes! POSE running FTW.
Also, if you're really on a budget for battle ropes, you can go to your local fire station and get some used firehose. Folks are also selling them for as cheap as $10 for 50 feet.

    • @gregshock

If you want to keep it all under $1,000, get a set of those Adjustable Dumbells, like he showed in his video and several pairs of resistance bands, in various strengths. With that, it will hardly take up any space and will give you a complete body workout, anytime. You might even have enough money left for a nice adjustable bench. My opinion.

Hi man. Cool video. I've been keto for about 14 or 15 months, I started it to lose a little weight. I've kept it up because my brain and body crave it now. But anyway I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror the other day and I was pleasantly surprised. It's not about appearance though it's about loving and respecting yourself. Thanks a lot bro.

just fyi: Flat feet are a common cause of general musculoskeletal pain and problems. Your body's balance begins in the feet; when the feet do not provide proper support, it can raise your risk for joint problems caused by poor posture and unnatural gait.

The most versatile piece of equipment you have in your arsenal, IMO, is something I have and don't use nearly as much as I should- the TRX. You can do an unbelievable amount of stuff with that, from stretches, to strength, to circuit. The thing I most strongly disagreed with? $775 shipped for a Rogue Echo bike is expensive. It's investment that will pay back a lifetime and you cannot hide from the pain. We have had bikes like the Airdyne that were only a few hundred bucks cheaper - they weren't horrible- but did not come close to the Echo in performance or quality.

So, I just thought I'd point out this isn't a typical home gym budget. This is commercial money in a garage setup. The Torque storage module you advertised as affordable is $2600 alone, and that's just for storage. As soon as you said affordable I asked for a quote from Torque. They're crazy expensive.

Every single time I see Thomas' Biceps, I knock on wood and say,Jesus look at that arm. Please do more exercise videos.there are a ton out there, but let's be honest, none of them are Thomas. For me,your words are the first and last I need to know. Please do a battle rope video.
