It's outrageous that Aiden is being bullied and harassed by his own community, friends, schoolteachers and school administrators. How dared they turn against him. He was shot by that premeditating murderer, and all they can say is, "Get over it"???? Disgusting!!!

Especially when it sounds like there were threats before it happened...in my community that alone would put the school on lockdown.

Our country is desensitized to mass shootings. They care more about the murderer than the victims.

People think their guns align with their faith and hold as much importance. They think any request at mental health care or mental health screenings is an attack on their ‘rights.’ If either side had as much common sense and planning as these parents when actually putting laws into place it would change our entire nation for the better.

The adults at Aidans school need more training, they seen inept at their job. Saying he should get over this traumatic experience is ludicrous. Accommodations are put in place for children with autism. Do the teachers talk to them like they do to Aidan. Also they need a anti bullying program at the school. He doesn't deserve that from other students. Prayers for Aiden and his family and for his future happiness.

I can relate, I wish I could something more than pray. Other people can be so rude & to me words are like bullets they hurt & scar you.. spoil that child is all I can say for now & remain in hope in time things do settle down ,he will get better,, Yes unbearable at times & I know because I been With my own health problem & get the same treatment from ass's (yes, I said it)that don't understand about compassion, empathy 🙏🙏❤️🙏🙏🙏

I agree. They should have an IEP of some sorts for kids that have gone through a trauma or a mental health issue that affects them from accessing the curriculum. I've read a few posts that say that Ethan was bullied at that school.

What makes me even angrier is his parents only care about their own pain and his mother said if she had to go back in time wouldn't have done anything differently as far as her parenting. That's what she testified to during her cross examination. All she cares about is getting herself out of jail and who she can have three ways with. Instead of taking care of her child she was on Adult Friend Finder trying to get different sexual experiences.

This is absolutely heartbreaking 💔. I am so glad she was able to give these details because I’m sure so many people don’t realize the extent of the PTSD that survivors have and the domino effect it has on the families. Shame on those students and staff who don’t believe what he is going through. As a Mom who has lost her 18 yr old son (2 yrs ago), I know what it’s like to become a “helicopter Mom”. I only have one child left and I’m constantly afraid I will lose him. Wishing all of these family (and friends) strength to get through every day. There are constant triggers, as she said, and you try so hard to redirect your thoughts so you don’t succumb to the grief. It’s an insufferable pain that never goes away. Not when it’s your child.

Every parent who has made a statement has provided a different perspective. Her statement is sharing the reality of PTSD along with the the challenges people in her situation experience. Dealing with medical bills, trying to keep her job, and dealing with PTSD and the school administration. I have tremendous respect for educators but to say those things to her probably was hurtful and unproductive. This parent is trying to trying to survive and cope with her family experiencing PTSD. It is difficult to understand her situation unless you have gone through it and she just wants relief. I am glad she has built such a close family where they are supporting each other.

I pray that this family finds people; a church group, an organization, counselors, true friends who will support them through this very tough time. It's great that his siblings are helping. I hope the family stays as positive as they can so all of their children get through the tough times. Do whatever you have to do to take care of yourselves and if it means moving, do it. It reminds me of sexual abuse survivors are turned away from society and family members who tell them to move on, get over it, or pretend it didn't happen. Remember, all of these people who are saying and doing hurtful things, DO NOT KNOW ANY BETTER! The good thing is that there are EXCELLENT therapists out there who can help. Keep up the good work and, again, surround yourself only with people who will support you. Let go of the people who aren't, even if it includes family members. Also, If you faith in God, he will see you through.

I think this is the right family to make this statement, and apologies if it isn't. His family was kicked out of their church. That's some of what she's referencing about having people turn against them. I can only guess the church (I use that term loosely) is pro-2A.

What a courageous woman. I’m so very sad for you, and your family. I hope that we learn to protect our precious children from the 2nd amendment voices that always seem to win by saying that “they will pray for the families.” Well, where are the innocent people’s rights?! At the very least, get the assault weapons that are made for wars outlawed! I hope that this case sends a message that parents better have fewer guns that kids can get ahold of, and learn to be responsible. 💯🙏🏻♥️

Someone in the military being shot in combat vs a child in their school are two very different things and it's wild af you want to compare them.
It's even more wild you think you're qualified to speak on how far the kid has or hasn't come when you don't even know him nor have you been shot yourself. If you had, you would've compared yourself to him I'm sure.
Also if you listened- he's in treatment- she literally said that.
Don't talk about "but life is hard" when it's not something you've even experienced or your not even qualified to speak on it. Your life experiences and opinions are not the standard and its wild you think it is.
