As a former student of UNC Charlotte, which as many know, was the site of a deadly shooting back in 2019, hearing this girl speak absolutely broke my heart. Similar to her, in the days following that day, especially when I came home for the summer, the amount of survivor's guilt I felt was through the roof. Thank God you at least had one friend there with you before you tragically died.
