54 6 UNDER APPRECIATED RELEASES of 2023

Here are a few underappreciated jazz records from 2023. I have not seen to many comments on these and I really thing they are very special. Please check them out, they are really great. WHAT DO YOU THINK---ANY OTHERS?Thanks for watching--please LIKE/SUBSCRIBE etc.
I forgot to mention ( as I said I would that I DID get a new copy of Easterly Winds(Jack Wilson) that I referenced in the last video. Both copies are good.. they just sound (to me) a bit different from the Blue Notes we've come to love. The music is great but to me the sonics are just a bit different. I am sure its the same on the master tapes as the folks doing the current mixing etc. as masters in their own right!-JG

Great video! Those definitely are some underrated albums. Never heard the Curtis z ounce but will now!

I had another listen to my copy of Jack Wilson’s Easterly Wind and I don’t notice the issue you mentioned. Was it an issue with your set-up?

I finally got another copy--actually both are fine. They are just (to me) not quite as good a sounding master than the other(many) Tone Poets issued... Who knows.. but the music is smokin!--JG
