This has to be the best solo he ever played, at least recorded.

How does Curtis articulate on this? Doodle, double? So clear and even....

I don't know for sure. He seems to articulate everything - no slurring down descending partials.

I was fortunate enough to take a handful of lessons with Mr. Fuller. Dee-Dul was the most common articulation he suggested I use. Not sure if that was just what I needed or what he preferred in general. He was a big advocate for using Arban studies, scales, various articulation exercises, and of course transcriptions. Above all else he was a genuinely kind human being who really cared about his students and passing on anything we could soak up.

The group is led by Jimmy Smith on the organ but not sure exactly what it is from.

It says at the end of the clip; Jimmy Smith - The Organ Genius. Jazz Sessions NYC 57-58.

It's originally issued as an unreleased track on the Blue Note album from leftovers from those sessions in 1979, "Confirmation"then in 1987 subsequently issued on the first US CD release of "Houseparty". That's the LEGIT release history. Don't pay attention to these public domain grey market European bootleg releases, especially streaming.
