People tried to separate them. Over and over again. Doubts and despair tormented them from within and towards each other. But their love prevailed. And with it some of the most memorable and beautiful scenes of two human beings forming a genuinely indestructible bond.

I totally agree. If you're just a student Cecilia, you're certainly being taught well.. however, I also think you're a natural. There are other edits on youtube, some funny and entertaining.. all not bad.. but clumsy. This is soooo effortlessly smooth and powerful. I love the way you layered the dialogue and clips. The way you timed the magical moments just when the music swells dramatically.. You absolutely hit the nail on the head on every score. You'll be big in Cannes, Hollywood , whereever.. very sure there will be many awards and accolades coming your way in the future. I have no doubt about that!

I am glad to have seen this. I have not finished watching all if it yet and I thought Anne L was in some way manipulating Ann W for money. I see now my perception was wrong. This was a beautiful edit Cecelia. I also think no more need series need to be made of Gentleman Jack. Let us end where we know it should be, Anne and Ann together.

Suggest you get the book accompanying the series written by Wainwright and Choopa. Loads of extracts from Anne Lister's diaries that suggested scenes from the series.
It's a pity that in reality this didn't happen. Gentleman Jack wasn't in love Walker, she used her for money. It became obvious to me from the letters that everything was fake.

She would write about wanting to get rid of her and then get upset when she would try to leave and cry. She left what she had to her family and Miss Walker in her will. She was very devoted to her.

Sir-Anne (as I call her)...& Sophie were each given their daily/scripts by Sally....they ran the words separately so when they'd shoot, Sally wanted it to be raw, real and honest! Those two didn't rehearse that last scene together! Here's the real scoop...there was NO KISS written in by Sally! Sally said you 2 know what to do...just do what you feel. SOOOOOO watch carefully it's Sophie that gestures in for Sir-Anne to kiss her. They don't kiss once,...they don't kiss twice...THEY KISS! EVEN AS CAMERA PANS OVER THE TOP OF THEIR GORGEOUS, PASSIONATE HEADS! That's not acting...that's real feelings for one another. Like how don't they have a crush or fall in love with each other?
