The most powerful romance ever! And I’m a straight woman. This has been an amazing series and the reason I love it so much is because Anne Lister stood up for what she believe in. She had amazing family who understood her. It is so sad that they didn’t spend the rest of their lives together as Anne died at just aged 49 😢

The hardships and love between them during their togetherness. And all that supported by a deliberate choice of scenes and context. Mesmerizing piece of work!
Just as beautiful as the previous 2 edits, though probably the most melancholic of all. It has a feel like it was a summing up of those plus looking at events with a different focus, with a keener eye on the depths of each character. Really nice!
Brava!!!...Perfecto!!!...I'm ashamed to admit to the fact that when GJ appeared I didn't finally watch it until Series 1 had completed...I'm such a dude when it comes to sports...so the NBA finals (Go Toronto Raptors!) and MLB (Go Houston Astros!) consumed my TV viewing pleasure...that is until the NBA championship completed...I had seen the previews or trailers of each episode as they popped up on my device as commercials...so...I binged the entire series last Saturday...now I want to know more about this trailblazing icon as well as the 2 main characters of this beautiful love story...BBC/HBO bring on Series 2...most expeditiously please👍🤙🤟🌈

Amazing series. I came out late in life should have done it years ago. I just regret I didn't do it earlier at least Anne Lister had the courage to be true .
I was wondering what the origin of the name Freddie was...why that name. In the Steidele book Mariana is calling Anne that as early as 1815. But no explanation why. A lot of Anne's early journal entries written on loose paper were lost/destroyed. So it's possible no one knows.
