As a professional I use Babyliss, I've been wanting a Dyson for my personal use. I really appreciate your professional opinion on it. Your shark review is very thorough, and I am considering this over the Dyson.

Amazing. Probably the best review I've seen. The fact that you show how a traditional Hairdryer is more straightforward and saves time in tasks you do multiple times per day was very insightful. And the fact that you compared both with data and tried to suggest improvements!

Usually more heat requires more wattage or electricity usage. If the end effect is the same between the 2, then it would be considered more efficient by using less electricity. Sorry, I'm an engineer.
I have no clues about hair dryers, just watching reviews so I can choose what to get for the wife Christmas present.
Thank you for the very detailed reviews.

Bought one for the misses for Xmas. I talked to her in to washing her hair today and using it lol. She has alot of hair and said it cuts the drying process down by alot. Also like he said, it's very effective without being super hot. So far so good.

Great review. ❤️ Thank you. Getting my Shark hair dryer tomorrow. If their vacuum cleaners are anything to go by it will be amazing.

Ooh-I’d love to see a head-to-head competition with those dryers!
And if you were to do that sort of testing, maybe you could also pick up a sound-level-meter app for your phone? I’d be curious to see how the actual sound levels compare.
If you might not already have a sound-level-meter app for your phone, I can vouch for Decibel X Pro. It’s always worked great for me. (And I have no affiliation with them.)

Thank you Andrew! I've been looking for an upgrade to my babyliss blowdryer and decided to give this blowdryer a chance! Should arrive by next week, super excited to see what it can do.

Been using the Shark for around 2 weeks now. I’m giving it at least a month like yourself to really tell how I feel about it, but so far I’m not taken with it at all.

Love your review Andrew. Sharks good guys. My hair stylist used dyson. I didnt see anything outstanding. Both sound the same. The air is the same. Only difference is the filter cleaning on shark vs dyson. The other is the frizz attachment. Shark is good reallu.

Wanting a tactile switch isn’t a nitpick. Certainly not for a $200 dryer.

@@timjung640 No, that makes volumized in a very unflattering way, because hair starts to stick up in weird ways, I don't think I have "flat" hair, My hair is curly/wavy and I think Curly or wavy tends not to be flat because of its tendencies to have a lot of its own "texture" which is unpredictable. I don't think its thick but its definitely not as flat as that dude!

I have two questions, first I wanna ask if its approved for salon use because I've heard that if its not a professional tool the warranty is immediately void when its used in a salon? I'm also curious about the weight of it and how heavy it feels?
