I really wish ALL instructional videos, especially those about airbrushes, were this informative and simple to understand. Well done Sergio, you've actually helped me rescue a chinese clone that I thought was beyond help. A deep clean following your recommendations and its as good as its ever been.
This is the most thorough and concise video I have found on using and maintaining, and especially cleaning, an airbrush. I just purchased this exact model after using a Paasche siphon feed for some time and was looking for the best way to clean a gravity feed model. Video is right to the point without a lot of distracting chit chat. Background music was actually relaxing and complemented the video well instead of the death metal junk that some creators like to put behind their videos 🫤. Can’t wait to try out my new airbrush (waiting on an adapter to make it work with my Paasche compressor 🙄)
I'm new to airbrushing and this has made my worries about cleaning disappear. I really appreciate your efforts! You made this simple and easy to follow. Thank you!
This is without a doubt the best and most comprehensive video I have watched on the subject. I’m just getting back in the hobby and bought this airbrush and this video answered every question that I had.Thank you!
Excellent Sergio. Today I recieved my newIvata-Medea hp-cs in the mail. It would spray paint immediately without pushing the button. Turns out it was plugged up inside everywhere. I manage to clean it up to work. Had this video been seen first would have saved me a bunch of time. Now tomorrow I will take it all apart and clean the internal spaces. AGAIN THANK YOU A BUNCH
Excellent, explanatory video ! Just a small tip from an airbrush noob like myself, at 8:03 of the video, when i put the nozzle & needles cap bac to place, i pull the trigger back at the same time so the needle goes back and does not hit with the caps by accident :D
Great video,Sergio. The tip on using thread to clean the nozzle is especially useful - though pretty hard to get the thread through using a needle. I used the inter-dental brush to force it through. You said you couldn't think of the verb to describe the motion of pulling the thread backwards and forwards - try 'flossing'. It's the term we use for cleaning teeth this way!
I bought this in January but due to time and anxiety about getting starting with it and learning about it I’ve been avoiding it. This video is great. Thank you so much!!
I agree as others have said, best cleaning tutorial video. You explain very well, and you SHOW us how it's done, and seeing the results. Too many videos just say "do this" but don't actually show you or even worse say "do it this way" but they don't do it that way. Thank you so much for this, I am going to start air brushing again after quitting. Going to see if you have more videos, hopefully I will learn properly and keep air brushing.
I have had this airbrush for 6 months and have had to figure out how to clean it with no instructions, learnt a lot today, plus the fact I am missing a rubber washer. Cheers
Great video! Exactly what I needed, concerning the cleaning process of this specific brand/model of airbrush, shown in details and yet straightforward!
I started painting at the age of 11 with the WW2 tank models. With obviously questionable results. I did not know painting techniques for lighting effects and use diluted colors. One day I find myself in the youtube home a video of Sergio Solo as recommended. It made me resume the desire after 7 years! (I'm 18 now). I watched a lot of technical videos etc. Having started from now with very specific ideas and everything I have armed with a good iwata NEO (obviously not as professional as that of Sergio but always an at least branded airbrush) And I'm starting to see excellent results thanks to Sergio videos! Thank you so much I think I will not stop anymore! Finally my favorite hobby I can continue with great satisfaction! PS: (when I go to work at my desk I looped your videos that have really good soundtracks ahhah!) Thanks Sergio Solo! :)
I do custom Marvel Legends figures and am planning on upgrading to an Iwata soon. This is going to help me so much! Thank you!! You earned my subscription! :)
I was having trouble with mine so I took it all apart to see what was going on. And when I went to put it back together I was having issues with the trigger. Needless to say this video was a HUGE help! Thank you for explaining it and showing step by step a lot of people don’t do that... so thank you
Thank you so much for the vid Sergio!!! The "flossing" technique for the nozzle tip will be used often. In fact the whole video will be archived for future reference. Bravo!!!
Great video. New to air brushing and I picked up Eclipse. I wish I would have seen this video before cleaning my Eclipse. I over tightened the cap and now the compression nozzle is stuck in the cap 🤦 (not sure how to get it out). Any how great video 👏
Hello sir! At 8:24 the nozzle/crown consists of 3 pieces (1,2 and 3). However, on my Iwata the parts in the middle (2) is sooooooo tight and couldn't be unscrewed, is it okay if I leave it on? Or should I force it so it could be unscrewed? Thanks!
Fantastic!! Thank you. So far the most informative video I've seen (ie; the bubble mix/clean step has been skipped on other videos, etc.) Saves video. 🤘😎👍
Very Helpfull Video, The way you guide step by step cleaning its really helpfull for beginner like me. i have watch many airbrush related videos but this one is the best, Sir could you please post a video in which you can show the painting tips like how to use shadow technique and how to use psi for airbrush, also can i use enamel paint directly or with thinner. please let me know thank you sir,
I ran into a problem cleaning mine, not even the smallest brush will go from back to front after removing the needle. The smallest will go front to back past the reservoir about 1/4".... Any suggestions? I have an Eclipse HP CS
Genial video, gracias a ello me he dado cuenta que he estado sacando mal la aguja del aerógrafo, ahora siento la necesidad de volver a limpiarlo profundamente de la manera correcta
Great video. Here's my problem. I've disassembled and cleaned every piece of my airbrush, but then I screw on the nozzle cap, the airflow is apparently blocked and the paint of water starts bubbling with no paint coming out. I am lost for what to do next.
Do you have a deep clean recommend for IWATA All control CH too? It can't take a nozzle out that easy so I didn't know should I pull needle out from front or from back of airbrush now...
One of the best, if not best videos I have seen for airbrush maintenance. Video is clear, no unnecessary chit chat, right to the point. Kudos Sergio!
The idea of the thread to clean the nozzle is game changing. Very good video.
Im a novice in this World of aérographe and your tutoriel is the best i've Seen . Simple , clear and easy méthode
Thanks à lot
This is definitely one of the better instructional videos I've seen on any subject.
I really wish ALL instructional videos, especially those about airbrushes, were this informative and simple to understand. Well done Sergio, you've actually helped me rescue a chinese clone that I thought was beyond help. A deep clean following your recommendations and its as good as its ever been.
Glad to help, Bernie

Excellent video. Just got my Iwata Eclipse and needed a proper guide to clean it. Thanks a bunch.
This is the best video about cleaning an airbrush I have found.
Great video,Sergio. The tip on using thread to clean the nozzle is especially useful - though pretty hard to get the thread through using a needle. I used the inter-dental brush to force it through. This is truly an exceptional video. I just stepped up my game and bought my first HP-CS. I will follow these instructions to the letter. THANK YOU!
So pleasingly clear and easy to follow. Thank you for taking the time to make this video :)

Saludos, Sergio! Excelente tutorial de limpieza.
¡Muchas gracias!
Very helpful! Thanks!
I ran into a problem cleaning mine, not even the smallest brush will go from back to front after removing the needle. The smallest will go front to back past the reservoir about 1/4"....
Any suggestions? I have an Eclipse HP CS
Really helpful video - muchas gracias!

FELICITACIONES
Muchas gracias, Gerardo. Qué bueno que te haya servido
i love how you wrote H20 and alcohol on the containers so that it applies for both languages
If you don’t know what water is you might have a problem
Awesome! Subscribed, thanks.
amazing video, thanks!
Great video. Here's my problem. I've disassembled and cleaned every piece of my airbrush, but then I screw on the nozzle cap, the airflow is apparently blocked and the paint of water starts bubbling with no paint coming out. I am lost for what to do next.
Check your nozzle, mine was doing the same, my nozzle had a crack in it
Fantastic video!! At some point you put the dilluted paint back to the bottle, wouldnt this harm the rest of the paint?
I haven't had any problems with the paint after putting it back to the bottle. Thanks for watching :)
I cant take the noozle off.. Its stuck.. Any way to do it? I dont want to break it.. Here it is without effort
Total Awesomeness
Do you have a deep clean recommend for IWATA All control CH too? It can't take a nozzle out that easy so I didn't know should I pull needle out from front or from back of airbrush now...
