Great vedio, you just taught me more than 20 vedios have,, lm a retired house builder restoring classic cars and painting them and want to get into airbrush more, lve done little spot repairs in paint jobs with them and really intrigued me to go further, old guy put a Iwata eclipse and badger compressor and all his paint and accessories, 40 dollars,, l gave him 80,, l already had the advanti harbor freight kit and a bagel 105 l got 20 years ago and never used,,, lm looking forward too it, I'll never reach your level but will be fun trying,, Thanks Mike
Mike, out of many videos on this topic, yours is the only one that explains the orientation of the trigger, AND the correct orientation of the rocking lever that goes against the trigger. What parts need to be lubricated? The plunger seems obvious. Some literature I read indicated the needle. But I would presume it matters where it’s applied. Thank you. Tom
I checked your videos, but I did not see a video on cleaning this airbrush either between colors or when done for the day. I always feel like I am not getting it clean enough and there always seem to be residual paint left behind, which I end up taking it completely apart to clean. I feel like I am doing something wrong and wasting time giving it a thorough cleaning. Would love to see a cleaning video on this one. Thanks.
Mke, another good video ! ... If U can please suggest best way to filter your paints and where do You get paint filters for smaller amount of paints ! .. thank You
Thanks for the video I've been getting a lot of complaints about Iwata Eclipses in the last years. I bought 3 Iwata grips in 1 year. I got defective iwata in both of them.
60 Pounds for acrylic paints, about 20 Pounds for urethane paints. I try not to reduce the paint because I want pigment to be as strong as possibly for durability on fabrics. But sometimes the B&W are very thick and a few drops will go a long way.
Is this a good airbrus for wider sprays? I need to pain the bottom of a wedding dress. Prob 1/3 of the dress with an ombre of colors. And been using spray paint bottles. Tho I'm able to do it I feel I dont have good control like u would with an airbrush. Do you think I'd benefit getting this is Instead of spray painting? Thanks!
Hi Mike!!! I recently bought this airbrush off hand and ran into a problem: When I push the trigger , there is a very thin flare of water/paint coming along with the air, I haven't moved the needle back yet and the material is already coming along with the air. Is this a problem with the needle or the cone? There does not appear to be any damage to these parts on view.
Hey Mike, I have a question . It might seem dumb to ask. You mentioned that we could order from coastairbrush... So I went on the website to order 2 of these. But I'm not sure if I'm understanding if they come with needle, nozzle, & nozzle cap? That part was confusing. Of the options in the conversion set. I mean I would assume we're not just paying for the airbrush itself. Please elaborate if you can. Thank you so much for your time!
Thankyou for this video! I'm a face painter and I'm so new in air brush I have the whole kit with compressor and six guns. Theres is a way to do a quick clean, to move from one event to another?. I will be using this for tattos with stencils.
A lot of good info in there. Thank you very much! A new chucking guide just arrived in the mail and my HP-BCS is now working again! (I'd killed it some years ago by trying to remove it with pliers after the clear coat i was trying to learn to use glued/clogged everything.) Going to look to see if you have a vid on clear coats.
Just got this one tonight ,gonna work on my lettering all winter long, I have 4 cup Iwata"s hoping to get better results less filling the cup and less concerns about spills with the hp-bcs Iwata. ,I was wondering if you think going with the cupless will help me gain better control for improving my lettering skills ,thanks for these great videos..
It all comes down to time. No different then anything else. It’s all comes down to knowing what your quality of work is. Standard Airbrush artist rate is a Dollar a minute if that helps. $60 an hour minimum.
Hey Mike, what is your updated IG page name, Which page to follow?? I see 2.. I wanted to follow & support. Love your art .. ❤❤❤❤❤💯💯 Thanks for all your help.. also subscribed & 🔔's on. 😊

is there a small metal gaurd inside the trigger area?
What PSI do you set your compressor on? And do you reduce your opaque paint? Perhaps you can make a video of that.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Great breakdown. How will it handle 2-pack paints (epoxies or urethanes) like Oracolor or Klasskote? Cheers

I've got the same - it's an older design apparently (15 years old from new). I just picked up another hp-bcs and it is as shown in the video.
