  • Exclusions in medical insurance policies are specific events or circumstances that are not covered by the policy. These exclusions may vary depending on the type of medical insurance you have, but common exclusions include:
    Pre-existing conditions: Many medical insurance policies exclude coverage for pre-existing conditions, which are medical conditions that existed before you purchased the policy.
    Elective or cosmetic procedures: Many medical insurance policies do not cover elective or cosmetic procedures, such as plastic surgery or laser eye surgery.
    Alternative therapies: Some medical insurance policies may exclude coverage for alternative therapies, such as acupuncture or chiropractic care.
    Experimental treatments: Medical insurance policies often exclude coverage for experimental treatments that have not been fully tested or approved by regulatory agencies.
    It is important to carefully review the exclusions in your medical insurance policy to understand what is and is not covered. If you have any questions about the exclusions in your policy, you should contact your insurance company or agent for clarification.

    i have a doubt.
    does armed forces personnel should buy term insurance and health insurance or not?
    what's your views please share

      Armed force personnel can opt for term insurance if they need extra cover other than that provided by the government. But they cannot opt for health insurance because its claim is permanently excluded by the insurance company.

    I have one disease permanently excluded while purchasing a policy. Now if any other disease occurs in future due to this disease relating to other organ, should it also be excluded?

      It entirely depends upon the insurance company if it wants to accept such an application or not.

    Hi Ashtha, great content,
    I am using HDFC optima restore a medical policy for my Family, I recently came to know about a plan called Niva Max Saver where they are offering 10(Base) + 90(top-up) Lacs. the strange thing is Premium of Niva Max Saver is lesser than HDFC optima restore. HDFC is charging 33K for 15 Lacs whereas Niva is charging 23k for 1CR,
    is it worth porting? please advise.

    Consider a scenario where I have a health insurance policy for 3 years and after 2 years I was diagnosed with a disease. At the end of third year I decide to port my policy. Will the new insurance company consider my diagnosed disease as pre existing and I will have to serve waiting period?

    • @InvestYadnya
      @InvestYadnya  ปีที่แล้ว

      In such a case, it will vary from Company to Company as the new underwriter will make the decision of whether to accept or reject your portability request.
