Sir, I guess you should also aware people about top-up insurance plan That means let's suppose "X" can bare the expenses of hospitalisation up to "RS 180000" but if the bill is more from this he wants a health insurance so he can go for a top-up health-insurance that means if his insurance is for upto "RS 2000000" so the insurance will look after him for the expenses "1.8L to 20L" this will make the cost of health insurance premium go down to almost nothing.Bcz health insurance companies charge on the low amount settlements.

Really good inputs on health insurance. You should also talk about group health insurance policies (e.g. HDFC Bank Customers) where premiums are much lesser than retail plans.
Hi. I think the cover of about 5 lakh u are suggesting is too less for a person. Insurance needs to kick in when a person lands up in Icu and a week's stay in ICU would definitely cost you 10 lakh atleast. Being a doctor I would always want to have cover when u really need it. I have seen people go mad and fighting with doctors once their cover finishes and there is possibility of longer stay. So I would really suggest atleast a cover of 10-15 lakh for a middle income group if you really wanna feel secure or else keep emergency fund ready if the cost increases.
Exactly. Upto 5 lakhs people maybe manage by their own by asking to their friends and families. The main importance of health insurance is when someone gets big diseases like Cancer, Covid, Heart issues, transplant.
What an amazing detailing regarding the subject. Thank you so much Ankur. I get the answers for all my questions through your video. 😊. All the very best.
