That first game.. God I love when top tier zerg players build multiple macro hatcheries for more and more larva... that super swarmy style is so awesome, it really truly embodies the swarm as intended...
Agreed. I always love it when high level zergs play offensive and swarmy.
Too many play expensive high tech defensive. Can’t blame them though, creep is just too useful.
@@caelestigladii what? Most people go for low tier units swarms and add a few spellcasters when needed generally unless the enemy composition explicitly forces things like broodlords
@@zachariastsampasidis8880idk what you're talking about because in this meta zerg has to react to everything. Dark is about the only person that builds mass Lings. There are a few zerg who go the +1 roach speed timing but that's just a timing attack.

I rarely comment on this, but that's exactly what I wanted to say. His play style with zerg is incredibly satisfying for me, he makes it look precisely as if you're stuck in a corner facing this endless swarm.
Love seeing a Zerg use burrow Banes and Hydras against Terran Bio! I've seen Serral struggle against Clem in some games but win once he incorporates hydras too.
Elazer is also sending changelings basically whenever the overseers have energy for it. Using the scouting mechanic that is usually mostly forgotten until the late game.
How is it almost forgotten ? When I played I hate Zerg for the changelings, always thought that they are op as hell…😅

This is the point where I still really don’t understand why Terran doesn’t invest in one raven, just for mobile detection. You know he’s been putting banelings everywhere, you have the resources to do it, and you have or soon will have enough medivacs. The gain is so high vs what(to an admittedly poor outside observer) so little cost. Like how many scans saved, tumors killed or marines saved from burrowed banes would it take for the raven to be worth more than a 6th(?) medivac?
Very happy to see Clem beat a high level opponent once again.

The way you are describing the build is what I consider the standard way to play. No gimmicks, it all just boils down to who the better players is.
I think it's target saturation. The melee nature of Zerg means they can't focus fire as effectively as Terran, and only so many melee units can attack a target at one time. With ranged units, you can use tons more units. Zerg, using many smaller units forces Terrans to spreads the damage around rather than concentrating it.

So many TvZ games where the Zerg clearly lost because they never contested the Medivacs. The Scarlett series I watched recently being a good example. Elazer builds Hydras that threaten the Medivacs and suddenly the Terran can't just pick up and save his entire army with no risk every time. Either get Hydras, or get Vipers or get Infestors. You MUST at least threaten the Medivacs if you want a chance to beat top-level Terran Bio-balls.

Hmm, idk how useful they might be but, off the top of my head, only because you specifically asked: "entrenched", "embattled", "massacred", "annihilated", "vanguard", "rampaging", "eviscerated", "meat grinder", "back stab", "flirting with death", "vigilant/vigilance", "carved/carving", "whittled", "slice 'n dice", "bastion", "recon/surveillance/intel" (I'm sure you know these but I don't ever recall hearing these in your casts), "swoop/slide", "gut punch", hmmm that's all i got right now. Love your honest commentary though, you da best

@Lowko , for the ghost, what about the emp draining energy or shields over a short period of time? And maybe snipe doing dmg over a short period? Would be more in line with spells like fungal and storm. Might help with the instant lethality of the unit.

I always liked the word abomination and think it's way underused. I think Harstem might have used it to describe a build order once, but i'm not sure about that...
Could use the word “frugal” when resources are limited and players are opting for upgrades, spellcasters, etc.
I think the infantry armor upgrades these terrans are prioritizing are completely on purpose. The attack is better on paper... IF you don't have medivacs, but I feel like medivacs multiply the benefit of the armor upgrade, and with zergling wraparounds in particular, the longer marines stay alive especially on the perimeter the better, because it gives the medivacs time to pick up, and all of this especially when it comes to the first few minutes of a game, where the zerg is capable of really pumping lings if they want to. It's a safety decision for the early game in particular is what I'm guessing. I'd be particularly interested if these terran players do the same vs protoss, as it seems like attack upgrades would definitely be more preferred in that early game scenario where you aren't being swarmed as the protoss tends to have LESS units than you as terran. Like let's check if Byun and Clem get attack first vs protoss, and we'll have our answer.
