This mod introduces 30 new races to the StarCraft 2 universe! This is a cast featuring the Ultimate Mode Of Erls: Reloaded mod! This project has been five years in the making. Big thanks to Xhromosoma and Erls for the work on this mod and for reaching out to me requesting to cast it.
The Ultimate Mode Of Erls: Reloaded features 30 new races with unique mechanics and hero units to the StarCraft world!
Today it's an absolutely chaotic 2v2 matchup featuring all modded races! It's SaleLale (Paramilitary) + oakway (Devil Mai's) vs TaldarimBoo (Cyber Zerg) + DeMolde (Eternals)
If you're new to this channel, I cast a wide range of StarCraft 2 content including casual games and modded games including viewer submitted content! If more casual and modded StarCraft are something you guys are interested in, please consider subscribing!
Since the majority of casts are of pro level games, I think it would be really interesting focus on StarCraft 2 ladder games from the more general population of StarCraft 2 players. Of course I will occasional host a pro-level match once in awhile, but for now I'm focused on casting StarCraft 2 from players in the community!

Another great cast! As for Devil Mai, they are supposed to be a group of terran colonists and smugglers who accepted a symbiotic deal with the zerg instead of being directly infested(Followers Of Nekta'la are the mod's traditional infested terran race with all the horde mechanics). There's no direct inspiration behind them, aside from me wanting to try to make the junker terran skinset appear all zergy.
Devil Mai late game mostly centers around either going for Nukes or Artillery. The nukes are free, produced automatically, do not need to be channeled, strike down quicker and a single silo can contain multiple at once, however, the nukes will ONLY deal damage if the units they are falling on are visible to the Devil Mai player and are generally much weaker than typical multiplayer nukes. The big Tsar Bombas are like a bonus deal, one is gained for every 15 small nukes launch.
In general all races have some sort of a base defense ability to counter a lot of the insane rush potential other races have, inspired by Heptacraft's town halls. Paramilitary's Flagship is one of the strongest since it can also go fully on the offensive and be upgraded specifically for it, though Paramilitary's economy and production will suffer heavily if the player specs into that. It also only has 750 health, which can be increased by slowly purchasing individual upgrades that are lost on death.
Oh cool! That explains why the look a lot like infested Terran. The access to the nukes they have is crazy lmao. I noticed that too, seems like the nukes weren't nearly as powerful as the typical Terran nukes which makes sense for balancing.
I also really dig how you can make the paramilitary base offensive, makes for some wild base-race situations. Great work on this as usual! I still have a ton of races to check out and cast

A Pyrrhic victory stands for a hard earned victory with many friendly casualties.
It stands for the ancient Greek warlord Pyros who defeated Rome in battles and due to his army's casualties could not maintain control of Roman heartland.
To clarify for other readers, in modern usage it's not just "many" casualties; it's nearly always used to describe an unsustainable, near-total number of casualties.
To mean: yes you won the fight, but you have nothing left now and cannot continue. The victory is essentially empty and meaningless because you lost everything and everyone to get there.
this game was so amazing it had a 4 ACT structure.

The Paramilitary are my personal favorite. I once played a 1v2 against friends haviung speced into the most powerful flagship possible. I kept just appearing and disappearing wherever they started rebuilding. In addition to this, I got to practice my horror villain laugh because we were on a discord call together. Eventually, they did manage to destroy my flagship, so I came in with infantry and cleared them out.
That Protoss nexus defense ability is so OP.
she's already been weakened, but even then she wasn't that strong if you know how to play
Fun video. I'd say "factions" is a more accurate description instead of "races", imo, since they're mostly different variants.
Not bad, not bad at all.
I still think that Cyber Zerg shouldn't have creep and instead, use something a kin to Protoss' Power Field or Stetzone, though.
In principal new units just need to copy speed, damage, shield from the originial ones, maybe minor adjustments on buffs
The two new races we see here are Devil Mai and Paramilitary.
Devil Mai is not really hell inspired - it's more a symbiosis between them and a zerg queen Hanta, so not really infested either. Their first notable feature is a complete lack of supply structures - instead they get supplies from every structure they build, aside from artillery. The second is that they loooove big booms - they can drop nukes (which, while smaller than usual, are free and they get a big one for every 15 small nukes they drop) they can build artillery that can hit everywhere on the map (though they only do damage to things you can see). Unit-wise they don't have much special - I didn't play Devil Mai too much, and can't really describe them. I know their main capital ship is weird in how it works, but my knowledge is limited.
Paramilitary is Wings of Liberty terran squared. They don't have a traditional command center - instead they use landed BCs, dropships and colony ships for that purpose. Note that all of that requires teching up (and all but dropships andnstarting BC are gated by research), so you can't expand early. They have a crapload of units and they have something like... 40? upgrades in that science facility of theirs - it's easy to get lost. Also their flagship that they start with is indeed insanely strong when fully upgraded, but remaking it costs 1400 minerals, and it loses all the stockpiles that gave it health.
Is there anything that stops you from just instantly flying the flagship over to your opponent's base at the start of the game? It seems like such an easy rush.
@@PenThoPlayer It has a -99% movespeed modifier for the first 5 minutes of the match. Or something like that, I don't recall the exact numbers, but you'll be lucky to have it fly to the edge of your main before the 5 minutes are up.
I think, tankers forgot to put their shrapnel in their ammunition. They just shotgun emptiness around them instead.

Sorry to be a downer, but I doubt that's possible. TUMOE is just so big adding anything even remotely large to it will break the mod entirely and render it unplayable due sounds.xml reaching its limit and inserting garbage data within it. There were plans for another race for this mod, and IIRC they fell through because of aforementioned bug.
Now, it's possible to fix the bug, but the only way to do that is to delete sounds.xml and then rebuild it from scratah, by hand. Which I heard is months of work.

Since it's an extension mod you can select any multiplayer map you'd like! Follow steps similar to this guide: th-cam.com/video/T2xCQ-pzKqQ/w-d-xo.html
Select any map you'd like, and once you select 'create with mod' type 'The Ultimate Mode of Erls Reloaded' and it should show up!
Also fun fact, I spent half my life growing up in Poland!!

@@Dking3078 you don't need to download it, it runs just like other mods, there are instructions on how to run it on the mod's discord server

Is this mod playable solo?
You do have the option to play solo but the AI might not work optimally, I think trying the modded races vs vanilla AI is your best bet if you wanna go solo

i tried to play this with AI and the AI was stupid
The ai doesn't work with custom races. Also, playing with real humans is way more fun
