Paper gold is the best option when you want to invest, however you guys will not invest in paper gold, instead you will invest in physical gold and will pay GST etc to our government and the shop owners, use your knowledge check the difference between physical gold and paper gold then decide.

.soverign gold bond can be encashed only after 8 years without capital gain. At that time price will be fixed not on the basis of market value. Market rate minus import duty will be the value you get. If redeemed before 8 years capital gain tax will be levied for the gain.

How is maturity value of SGB calculated?
On maturity, the Gold Bonds shall be redeemed in Indian Rupees and the redemption price shall be based on simple average of closing price of gold of 999 purity of previous 3 business days from the date of repayment, published by the India Bullion and Jewelers Association Limited.
