Gave mine away. I needed the transmission, all new bushings, adjusters and wheels. After only 4 seasons of use too. Wasn't worth repairing.
I can't seem to remove the transmission as easily as you did I don't have the two holes open on the end of the carriage and it doesn't seem to slip out it's too long
The transmission rod... Is it 19inches in length?
Mine is and the one I just purchased is 20.5 inches long.

Thanks! Have to do this on a Crafstman version of the same mower. Surprised the gearbox stopped working, it’s not really that old.
