The reason for marching is to move a large number of soldiers from point A to point B in the most efficient manner. Seems obvious but this is why marching is important in the military forces. This film was well done.
Omg I wish this was availble before I went to BMT in 2012... even if you forget how to walk like a human when you pass the Lackland Gates lol ::Cue walking refrigerator uncoordinated arm swing:: I was so bad my TI hated me till the very end.
Voice crack vs. a smooth silky cadence? You're barely 18:26 minutes into the video with a glaring voice error. Good thing this cadet is not a vocal arts major. Otherwise, a nice, informative clip.
@@redtrustfactor when discussing commands we say things like "forward march" but when we actually give them as an order we say "forward harch". When commanding a flight, it is easier to loudly say "harch" than it is to say "march" therefore we say it this way.
"Aerounautical" Engineer vs. Aeronautical Engineer? You're barely 0:15 seconds into the video with a glaring spelling error. Good thing Maj. Albiston is not an English major. Otherwise, a nice, informative clip.

This is an awesome video. The Major did an outstanding job narrating and the LMU ROTC Det 40 cadets were on point. Well done to all.

I’m PFO tmrw so thank you for this !
I wish i watched this before basic training 💜
just became a flight commander for my unit as a 9th grader- hopefully I’ll be a good leader.
Cadence of quick time for fall in (formation of the flight) is a requirement. Jogging most likely break 120 bpm.
Column halfs, the guidon must pivot in front of the 3rd element leader and pivot again marching in the same direction as the flight
Id say the only thing I hadn't done in my unit of A.F.J.R.O.T.C. is the extend march and close march but everything else, we have done.

dang, this video came out the very day I joined CAP
To execute a proper order guidon, the GOB drops with the right hand, not the left
"Great video vs ok video? Glad this video is a video otherwise, a nice informative video." -Video critics
You should show inverted. As well as reporting out and in procedures
Column right or column left , we call it left wheel or right wheel
who is here trying to learn for JROTC
Here, I’m the Guideon so I’m studying that lol
Yes sir

It’s pronounced Hut, toop, threep, fourp!!!! Not up , two, three, four🤦🏽♂️ you’d think officers would know better
Yeah and whats up with that "harch"?
@@redtrustfactor when discussing commands we say things like "forward march" but when we actually give them as an order we say "forward harch". When commanding a flight, it is easier to loudly say "harch" than it is to say "march" therefore we say it this way.
It’s different for each branch tbh
