Hi guys hope you enjoy this latest video of one of my purchases from Auction (aston barclay). Apologies for the quality of the film on this one, accidently filmed it in 24fps 🙈🙈 Anyhow enjoy 👍👍👍👍
That does look a really honest little car. My missus has always had Peugeots and never had any major issues. When we first met she had a 309, now she's got a 2008.
I got an 78k mile(I just hit 79k) peugeot 207 sport 2010 model there for 1350 - guy had it up for 1600 ... there's a coolant leak tho 😳altho it runs fine it's at the mechanic now
Had a 2012 (62plate) 207 1.6vti auto, 5 miles on the clock had it for 6 years and racked up a fair few miles travelling regularly between Cardiff and Corby, only issue I ever had was a sensor failing. Was an absolute brilliant car, if it wasn't for disability issues getting in/out I'd really believe I'd still have it today. Great and informative video as always 🤘
Look forward to part two. Also looking forward to the move to the new place. It'll be good for your subscribers numbers. Just hope you've got the time to keep going with TH-cam as you come across really well and down to earth. 👍👍👍
Nice little car. Think I would just remove the other rear headrest rather than invest in a new one. Thanks for taking the time to upload - enjoyable and informative
Just scrapped my 56 plate and then this turns up. It's destiny haha. Served me well. Ran into the ground. Absolute money pit. Made it to 147,000 - but suffered badly from the oil leak that years spec suffers from. You could have probably got some spares off mine now 🤣
Gonna be a nice profit in this 207 for u Lee buddy...Paying £484 for it u can't really lose on it...nice little earner and will be nice to see it all done up and what it goes for...Great video as ever m8...Good luck with the move m8...Well done Lee...👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻💪🏻
Like the content Lee. Good honest info about all you do and experience. You seem a decent genuine fella too and I can vouch for that having met you at the MOT station talking about service history on a Mini not so long ago. I would definitely send someone your way if they was after a decent car on a budget. Looking forward to the next one.
Great video Lee I had bought a Peugeot 207 3 door 09 plate in may this year as my first car runs like a sweet heart at the moment just wondering if it will be ideal for long distances since being an older and smaller modelled car. Again another great video Lee 👍
My Dad bought ours at 2 years old , he never noticed the glovebox is Air conditioned , in the glovebox there's a vent obviously open and close. By closing the vent I'm positive it helped when closed inside the car. My Dad hasn't had Air conditioned touched in well over 5 years. Now we have it I'm going to get it done might as well keep up with the Air con. Ours has 63,000 but my Dad is a pensioner so maybe why it's reasonably low.
I Love Bangernomics, had to scrap my mazda 6 as was rotten , gone back to a modern classic with a 1998 R reg Rover 400 414 SLi 49k on the clock clean mot till april next year what ever it's needed it's had , under the bonnet looks brand new with new alternator and belt cambelt done head gasket done full service new radiator , battery...it's nearly mint....what did i pay......£995, and it's in the lovely Kingfisher Blue
sounds a gem lee, love a rover and i had one in kingfish blue too. been after a nice 400 or 45 for a while now am sure one will land at the right price soon enough. enjoy your 414
Just watched your video.Great appraisal because you have both mechanical and sales knowledge and experience.I only ever owned 2 Peugeot 309 GTIs when cost of petrol wasnt an issue.I may have to get down and check out an Aston Barclay auction and say hello if paths cross.Hope this one gets a quick turn around and flys out with a happy new owner.
Looks a really tidy wee car that, looks cared for as you say. I completely agree about giving the Prince engine a swerve. I had a Mini Cooper R56 with one fitted. Lovely car, nice spec but the engine always had issues, the biggest being valve stem seals. As a result it went through o2 sensors every 6 months as it smoked them out. I nursed it along for 2 years just topping up the oil until it blew out all its coolant in McDonalds car park one evening and that was that 😂 I replaced it with a Civic MK8 diesel.
I’ve been looking for a 207 for a while now just for a little runaround but some of the prices people are asking for are pretty high here in our little part of Ireland at least I’ll get an insight into what to look out for
I have just inherited one of these 207's on a 07 plate with a 1.4 petrol 90ps 'Sport' allegedly 5 door with 97k on the clock and MOT until March. I got it from my employer as it was a car he had lying around as he dabbled in car sales now and then but our mainline of work is road haulage. I currently own an ex Royal Mail Vauxhall Combo 1.3cdti on 59 plate. I just spent a little fortune to get it through a clean MOT in September. Then driving into work last weekend. The engine cut out at 70mph and now has no compression. I was concerned about my van being terminal. However, after driving this little pug around the doors since yesterday. It cost me nothing yet accept £20 in Petrol and the deposit on insurance. But I dont think its that bad. Its better than I expected. I was expecting it drive like a scrap car as it was destined for the scrap yard. But, I think I might just keep this and scrap my little van instead. The brakes are a bit spongey and handbrake appears to only work on one wheel. But a FREE car which I was just going to use couple weeks as I work away all week as a wagon driver. I might even see how much to get a new MOT on it when it comes up see if its worth fixing up. I am impressed
Hi Lee. I hope you had a Nice holiday 😊. That Peugeot is very very nice Lee. You can't go wrong for that money. Nice colour. You can tell its been looked after and it will probably go forever 😅 lol. Nice mileage. If it was over here in Ireland then I would have it for myself Lee. Anyway keep up the great work buddy and Chat soon 😊😊
Hi Lee love every video you post. Can I ask for a little help. I have a 2007 astra H 1.9 CDTI engine. Cleaned the throttle body valve removed it for the clean. Could see the inlet manifold has lots of carbon built up. Don't want to take the inlet off car as it seems to be a big job. Can I ask would it be ok to disconnect the air intake pipe and spray carb cleaner through the throttle body valve into the inlet manifold and have the engine at 2000 revs as I do it. Would this be safe and would it help decarb the manifold. Please help.
If you spraying a little bit at a time it would make some difference, I use the JLM cleaner personally when cleaning out throttle bodies but you need to spray a little at time and avoid pinking the engine to much. However if its built up badly then sadly the only way will be to remove it and get it cleaned off the car. Also note on the CDTI engines of this period some of them 150bhp models had swirl flap manifold systems that break up (made of plastic) and causes running and lag issues and can put the car into limp mode.
Hi Lee thank you for taking time to reply. One more question if you please. If I get jml cleaner for the inlet manifold when all the soot goes to the exhaust would it block the catalyst converter) cheers
@@Paul-wz1fl The cleaner is a solvent and will mainly combust in the chamber with the carbon deposits it breaks up. I would not be to worried about blocking a cat up. There are plenty of videos on YT about the jlm product and shown how to use it and it working. worth a look
