Ah part 2, lovely. It turned out to be a cracking car for the money. I wonder why it went to auction? Was it a dealer maybe? Too high miles for their forecourt? And much respect to you for adding a fair profit and not being greedy. So many times i've been beaten to a private sale by a greedy dealer who just adds 4 grand to the price of a 5 grand purchase, and puts it back up for sale the same day! Not even a wash!

Hi Lee. Would like to see more of your expert mechanical side and explain simple things like cleaning up the brakes and sorting the steering straight - thanks again - great channel.
Good cars if looked after properly. Had a 65 plate diesel from new for 3 years and have a 68 plate hdi eat 8 auto for 5 years, no problems. The model you have needs proper 4 wheel alignment as they come out the factory wrong! The semi auto box was well known for being problematic and, the urea tank in the boot had a habit of needing replacement. My current one has the Aisin electronic auto box which is brilliant. The hdi are brilliant on fuel too. Front struts were a known problem from new and were a free replacement item.
Lee that Peugeot looks a beauty. So glad no nasty surprises on your test drive. Thanks for the warning about that make of crap tyre. Roll on the next one Lee.👍👍
Yes we stocked them in the earlier days and had a few go defective on us with customers, we quickly dropped them for another supplier and never looked back. Thanks for watching again gary 👍👍
I had a new 308 Meridian auto on Motability a few years ago. The auto box was awful from new, eventually the dealer replaced a couple of parts on the box, but it was no better. In the end I threatened to park it across their main entrance and chuck the keys down the grid. They finally fitted a new box but my trust in the car, Peugeot and the main dealer was long gone. I'll never have another Peugeot and certainly would never use that dealer again. Anyway, Lee as always a great video, keep them coming.
Thanks steve, yes the auto boxes are not the best for smoothness in PSA cars. However the later stuff I have driven is a vast improvement, thanks for watching 👍👍
Looks pretty decent for what it is, though personally I find the prospect of a high miles french car loaded with electronics absolutely terrifying. Fingers crossed it makes it to the end of the statuary period without issues. As a matter of interest since it came up in the video, would a video on the best budget tyres to go for and the ones to avoid be something you could do?
Yes I was thinking about covering a video on budget tyres a few weeks ago, thanks for reminding me. Will work on that this month. Thanks for watching Matt
Another good video lee ,great knowledge you have and thanks for sharing it . Peugeot were always good at interiors back in the day . I had a 309 …. Thanks Al gore, we took a little gamble on it but its paid off, just shows there are still some auction bargains to be had. thanks again for watching 👍👍
I never buy a new car. Your videos are very educating. Great tips (although I am not in any way, experienced enough, to take my chance at an auction). I had a Ford Fusion (Semi-Auto). This was such a lovely car to drive (8 years at time of purchase). Scrapped 2 years later, as gear box went. That's all you want from buying a car (runaround). An honest trader and you know that the MOT stands and history is legit. I even purchased a Peugeot once from a garage (Be careful to read what your warranty covers, only certain parts of the car). The exhaust tied by a rag! This had been previously repaired also. Shameful on an Automatic ££££
Another cracking video Lee, thanks for that. Should be a nice profit in that one for you and, someone will end up with a decent motor and one that's nice and cheap to tax and run.
it is a clean one to be fair. I have not forgot about the astra Simon I will contact you later in the week, I have come back to madness in the workshop and we are just starting to get ahead now 😁 Thanks for watching again and speak soon
i remember you getting this at auction not a bad car you can refurb the wheels yourself if they are pitted ive seen guys do it with a wheel grinder chops garage did some himself
Yes I watched that one, I could do it but its the time it takes and getting round to doing it, running the garage does not really give me that free time. I would just get them done by a third party. On this we are going to leave them, if it becomes a issue from buyers (being mentioned) and causing a missed sale then maybe think again. Sometimes its easier to discount slightly and let the customer sort it, most of the time they end not doing it and just keep the money😁 . Thanks for watching
The 1.6 8v HDi Pug motor is the new PD. Absolute bomb proof - adblu, DPF less so but the block is very hardy and simple. With a manual box I buy them 120’s all day.
Yes its a decent engine, maybe would not go as far as bomb proof as i have a few with oil pump issues, snapped belts and turbos failing but compared to alot of other modern diesel engines they are decent. Thanks for watching exgtt

These are great cars I bought one of these as a grandads taxi over a qashqai because it drove a lot better. I would say its more like 1 in 5 are bad and we would loose money on or just dispose, sometimes you can get a run of bad ones and it ruins your week, thanks for watching FHM
@@carukchannel Not if you buy from BCA😁
Great video, this will make a nice car for someone and would probably be good for another 50k, £2,500 would be a fair price and a decent profit for you 😊
Thanks David, yes circa 2.5k is fair I feel
If you let that go for 2600 there is money in it for the next man.
Someone else will sit on that for 2995 and not even have to wash it!
Decent little run around for someone wouldn't worry about that mileage in a desiel as long as maintenance kept up 👍
Yes should make a good car for someone, thanks for watching again
Injectors on my mums diesel 3008 went. And could afford to repair so had to sell it. Good car for long journeys around France.
