Evangelion is saying goodbye to us and I needed to wave back. This show had such mysterious effects on my life in many ways, not only content-related. I'm very grateful for everything that EVA has provided us with, and very happy to have been connected to all of you through it!
This video was inspired by the original one from (̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶g̶o̶d̶d̶e̶s̶s̶)̶ Utada Hikaru. It was such a joy to watch her as she seemed to be having so much fun with the many takes she did with her son! Now, I can confirm that it was definitely a fun video to make. My rendition is a humble tribute which I do hope you guys enjoy. ♡

I still come back to this song almost daily, months after having first heard it. I barely registered the song as just okay when the original was released, until this cover popped up in my random playlist. Your voice is just perfect for this one and makes it one of my favorites. The cosplays are excellent too!

This song comes out just around the same time as I still struggle growing past an old relationship. Someone I used to know who is also a big fan of Evangelion, as well as Asuka, one of her favorite characters.
The music of this series has never failed to truly hit close to home. And now that 3.0+1.0 is coming out in two days as of writing this comment, it’s all I can really think of.
Although she is no longer present in my life, it’s comforting to still have something that connects us, and so many other people.
Evangelion truly is a phenomenon.
