My grand father was in the team that designed the vautour. I remember as a kid he would tell me of the protoypes accidents, I have original pictures of that. One of the test pilot unfortunately died, he ejected but the canoppy didnt eject and his skull was crushed against it. He was a guy my grand father admired a lot, an exe ace from the free french forces. Anyway I'm proud of him and gonna tell him his plane got his moment of glory in my favorite game next time I see him! :)

No if i remember the problem was about a malfunction not forgetting to do something about the canopy well the americans broke the legs of there pilot at first because they didn't knew that the legs where stretching apart at ejection so fr1 usa 1 i guess

Well, that kind of tandem arrangement of the landing gear was quite popular in the period around the 1950s. Check out other contemporary aircraft like the Boeing B-47 Stratojet or the Mjassischtschew M-50. :-)
madmandan1982 wow I’ve never even heard of the M-50, that is a beautiful bomber. A quick google search and one of the first images is this old photograph of it flying in a formation with 2 mig 21s which looks stellar. Guess you do learn something everyday, thanks :)
The M-50 looked so badass, but could never cash in on the promises made by its designers. It was sadly completely outclassed by the American counterpart, the Boeing B-52 Stratofortress (double-tandem, self-straightening landing gear), and later by its Soviet rival, the Tupolev Tu-95 Bear.
I've been waiting for ages for the Harrier to get released in DCS and I can't even go to a Phly video without getting reminded about it, haha.

The counter argument is giving minor nations different version of planes helps to make their trees unique. Case and point: CL-13 versus the German MiG. One is a very interesting take on F-25 Sabre, the other one turns high tier German-Sov match into MiG fights.

in 1960 nk received 60 is-2 tanks from the soviet union. i couldn't find anything that said they were still front line vehicles but knowing the north they are probably still kept operational just in case of invasion.
Like the is-2 i could not find anything that said the tu-2s was still in use by the north's airforce but like the is-2, they are probably kept close to operational incase of war

My combo is called the second hand combo and for good reason. The vehicles are based on information from Stockholm International Peace Research Institute's arms transfer data base. And were chosen with consideration to Battle Ratings.
According to the database the soviet union delivered 60 is-2 tanks and was classified as second hand. Though Chinese is-2 might have fought during the korean war no north korean is-2's were ever used in combat.
The Tu-2s was shipped to the koreans by the soviets in 1950. this included 35 Tu-2s and is classified as second-hand/aid. these probably did see use in combat but since there were on 35 they weren't well documented. These war machines are probably kept operational in the case of war

CHALLENGE:
Tandem gameplay.
You be the driver and someone else (Laura most likely) be the gunner. Switch places every time you die.
The challenge being you must destroy at least one player controlled tank before you are destroyed.
3 strikes and you're out. 3 kills in a row and you win.
[Do this in the slowest reloading tank (or the Archer) just to amp up the anxiety level]

@phly you can do this by attaching a wireless keyboard to your computer along side your computer. I did this with my cousin with me being the commander/gunner and he was the driver, it was a lot of fun.

You will now do the same Phly, You are allowed to bring along a wingman to assist you, but you must score a Mig kill in a P51 Mustang and live to tell the tale by successfully returning to base and landing your bird afterwords.

Only 149 produced, never saw combat. Introduced in 1958, it's lack of radar and other advanced systems kept it from being very usable. They used the Mirage IV instead. Of course, this stuff is expensive and it was kept in service into the 70's when it was replaced by the Skyhawk. Only one air to air kill was ever recorded with it, by Israel.

You should of showed a up teir at 9.0 because you get rekt easy by CL-13 no mater what you do. What they need to do is only have 7.0s vs 7.0 and 8.0s vs 8.0 and so on when it comes to jets but that would also mean longer wait time but it would be fair.

Ok, so this aircraft was introduced in 1958. that's fairly late on. In fact, i do believe that its the most modern fighter to date within War Thunder. The very next year after this is deployed into active service. Aircraft like the English Electric lightning come around. That's how modern this is, though I believe it will be a while before adding in things like the lightning as MAK 2 capable aircraft are nor the bast to maintain balance.

Take the Do-335-A-0 with the 15mm's that have 50mm of armor penetration with the Tiger II P.

me 262-a1 vs vautours... everything is perfectly fine komrade. 262 is feeling itself again with it's overwhelming armament.
The fighter is still at 8.0 because gajin wants it to be op so more people will want to buy one of the french packs so they can grind to it. Which is fine since gajin is making a free to play game.
With a 30mm you should only have to hit 1-2 times in game more like 20-30

You know what's worse than the plane itself as retardedly OP it already is, even if it were at 9.0... the pilots who fly them. Many many many games I've had where we lose to base destruction because nobody can catch them, is I've complained ofc. But I remember 1 game in particular. I was flying the 7.0 262 A1a, ofc vs vautours, in which I'd gotten 3 kills already, so I'd had a pretty decent game. It was me vs 2 vautours in which I forced 1 into. Head-on, and won. However, the last guy gets away with bombing the base and winning. I asked him if he thinks the plane is balanced and his response was 'Git Gud'.... someone plz tell me he contracts a multitude of diseases one day.

At 9.0 everything can catch it and if you are unlucky nowadays, you can get uptiered to SUPERSONIC jets which wipe the floor with you.
It being invulnerable would only help French players and ruin the game for everyone else. I mean it has good weapons for 9.0 as well as good speed.

I feel like it needs to be either 9.0, with no air spawn, or if it is going to keep the airspawn, I think it deserves to be 9.3. At this point it is essentially a hunter, with bombs, and an airspawn. It's the best jet in the game hands down.
Phly, use the object 120 as an SPAA, it should excel at this as like the 88mm it has a high velocity and large calibre. attempt 2
