@@Manaphy0882 the missiles got a heavy nerf one of the nerfs is that it cant change direction in the first sec after launch wich makes it really hard to hit anything closer than 4 km. Diff nerf made it hard to hit anythin further away than 8km because most of the time it loses control.
The problem with the pantsir is that when you get in a plane and spawn in, you already are in range of it
Fun fact. In the Wiesel 1A4 at match start when all the crew check in one by one 3 people call in battle-readiness but there are only two in the vehicle. The more you know......

@@biziluxgames8924 imagine being a Germany main and try that using the Tornado, it's a flying bus compared to F16, I tried mimicking what HunterI86 does but it is so hard.
@@johan-apo yeah he is in top few % of most skilled CAS players, so its hard to replicate...
but also if you would watch his uncut footage it is probably boring AF... he kills one guy and then dips for a few minutes flying away to 20km, and rinse and repeat.
he cuts a 10min flying session into 3min
average player like me just doesnt want to do that because we want action packed gameplay. he has a lot of self preservation and values his plane a lot, i take much more risks than him, but also die much more.

I love the people that say the Pantsir isn’t broken or overpowered… So you got the best anti air and then the best atgm in the same nation balanced… Can we just have trucks that can pull a CWIS at this point?

Definitely the strongest AA but it’s not super difficult to deal with if you are familiar with fighting them.

@@Boris_The_Turtle Yeah Tor and ITO are far far better at engaging someone whos not just flying in a straight line, only thing pantsir has going for it is it's range and few RWR's can detect the tracking radar
@@mrsteel250 Very true, the Pantsir really falls off versus maneuvering targets, especially when they come at you head on.
Will say though, apart from having good range, it’s very good at intercepting ordinance.

@@doktorcz4203 If the Russian tech in the game is really bad, I'd get checked out by a doctor for mental problems if I were you, as well as motor problems. Russian tech is one of the strongest in the game. If tanks are not the strongest in Russian tech, but in everything else Russian tech was made too strong.

My favorite thing is to spawn the f16. Fly straight for 4 seconds while adjusting weapon selection and trying to get a view. Meanwhile, I had a pantsir fire a missle 3.5 seconds ago, and I see it while getting my view lined up. Dive out and away hard.... dead from spawn time in like 10 or 11 seconds. This is a fairly frequent occurrence
Pansir is probably the most broken vehicle in the game at the moment😂

When the SEAD (suppression of enemy air defenses) aircraft is outclassed the EAD :,(
It would help if it had HARMs it would normally have them for a SEAD or DEAD mission. The lack of HARMs means it really isn't set up for those mission sets as well as the lack of jammer.
there are no true SEAD aircraft in WT.
@@aussiemilitant4486 I mean IRL the F16 is an amazing aircraft for the SEAD/DEAD role, it just doesn't have the Wild Weasel loadout in game. Though its possible I guess that that is because those capabilities came on a later block/variation of the airframe. If they do introduce the wild weasel armament though I guess that'll mean that Russia will get the SU34 as I think that is their only aircraft that covers the same role.
@@CircusJeanie2399The F-16C in game is a Block 50. It's SEAD capable. HARMs are not going to help much against mobile AA systems. All they have to do defeat HARMs is turn off their radar and change position when one is launched. This is the sort of thing Mavericks are used for instead. To begin with, SEAD missions are not meant to be a solo affair, so as long as players have to fight without coordination with other aircraft this will always be a tricky thing in War Thunder.
@@majorborngusfluunduch8694 The HARMs would help though in the sense that it would force enemy Radar to go silent letting the F16 or another aircraft get the kill with a Maverick, or another warhead, without fear of retaliation, as any attempt to get a radar lock and missile launch would result in a HARM to the face. But yes team work and a wingman would make the mission easier. Another thing War Thunder could add to make the SEAD/DEAD mission easier is EW but I have no idea how that would work in game.

@@GustSergeant what exactly? normally it even happens automatically. you just have to be logged in with your Microsoft account and when you activate it, I think it should automatically be linked to your account. and then the digital license is automatically activated on every device as soon as you log in with your Microsoft account
You should watch hunter videos. He deal with pantsir pretty well with any top tier aircraft.
Anti-pantsir tips:
Their radar can't look directly up, so if you get directly above the spawn and stay there you have free reign.
Their missiles aren't maneuverable, so fly unpredictably and make weird moves to dodge them.
Their missiles do not detonate properly if you are close to the ground, like below treetop level.
TV guided munitions are nice because you can fire and maneuver, lasing a target should only be done if their radar can't find you (see first tip)
Low level gun runs going mach 1.3+ at treetop level are surprisingly useful. Fly full speed towards their spawn and you'll see the pantsir there, as they almost never leave spawn.

Actually, the one thing that is terrifying about the pantsir is its ability to look near-straight upwards (yes there is a small margin you can float above), however its very hard to stay there, especially if there's more than one.
The problem with this is that first you have to get right above the pantsir. Which is impossible because it has missles that can destroy you well within the air spawn

They need to add HARM or ALARM or other national equivalents to fight radar SAMs. Shrike and Standard ARM has been around since Vietnam so they can't claim they're not period appropriate.
Bruh the pantsir is the most advanced aa in the game 70s weapons are fighting 2015 AA. Gaijin finds that fair. The HARM came out in 83 we still dont have it. Technically if they get Pantsir we should get AARGM-ER
Shriek would be appropriate, it's an anti radiation missile built out of an aim7, so same in game models can be reused. And it's easily dodged by turning off the radar, introducing an element of fear using the radar.
Gaijin will ad Anti-Radiation Missiles (Anti SAM Missiles), but only for Russia. Just watch.

War thunder needs some longer form game modes. You either get 5 to 10 mimute matches or 2 hour matches. Where's the 20 to 30 minute upper tier game?

Look at any Russia Ground lineups at top tier. Most are 2010's to 2019, what does most of non-german NATO get? Abrams made in the 90's, Leclerc made in the 90's and the Ariete.

If your playing with Odd or others I beg of you to have one player in a drone, and the other in a Sturmtiger, as it would be hilarious to get a 3km kill with a sturmtiger rocket.
The player operated artillery video you made ages ago has since been my favorite on the channel.
Fun fact: the F-16 used to have Gen 3 thermals which made it much more competitive against the Pantsir, but Gaijin in their wisdom nerfed it to "Gen 2" after a bug report almost immediately after release. In reality, they nerfed it to Gen 1, making it next to useless as a high-altitude bomber, then added a Russian Su-25 that can outrange every SPAA in the game with ease. They have acknowledged that the thermals on the F-16 are "bugged" and should be Gen 2, but it took them 6 months to do anything about and the fix is just now coming in the next update, instead of just reverting the change 6 months ago to make it fair.
But sure, there's no Russian bias 😂

Try playing top tier air rb, depending on the match, 30%-to-50% of F-15s and SU-27s have 18-26 hours in the game. Needless to say, the matches don't last very long lol.
Top tier is interesting to look at, but playing it is another story. It's very very different to how the rest of the game plays, and not in a good way.

Late spring or early autumn is the best time, we'll likely do 4-6 days on foot at ~5000 ft elevation, an average of 15 miles per day at a leisurely pace. And once we get down from the mountaintops and into the villages, the local quisine is delicious and like dirt cheap. We'll do fireshows by the roadside, sing gospels, and drink homemade wine.

The problem with the pantsir is that it does not suffer from multipathing so if the bandit is close to the ground it have no problem guiding the missile while other SPAA do

I remember playing a few matches where the pantsir just pre-fires missiles at spawn point making it impossible to avoid it, killing almost every plane at spawn point. Not even a rwr or anything just spawn and boom.

For pantsir sniping I highly recommend the gbu sniping, the gbu 8 has great glide time and is hard to shoot down, I look for the smoke trail fire and fly away I've sniped pantsirs in my f4E at 19km from 6 km alt

I also have a clip of a pantsir hitting me at 17 km

You gotta try the Su-25SM3, it has 20KM launch range ATGMs that go Mach 2.2. Use the kh38mts if your looking for launch and forget or use the kh38ML’s you can launch them above 10000m and there 200 ish sp cheaper then the mts

Hey...I quite literally maintained that F-16 up at Eielson AFB in 2010-13
I gave WT a try ages ago, when World of Tanks wasn't complete shit yet and was my main game, got up to IS-1 in WT but didn't really feel it.
Now started playing again a bit iver two months ago and the amount of times i got CAS-ed while iw as just trying to enjoy my tank game made me unapologetically grind out the SPAA line, few days ago got my first SAM-s and i absolutely love getting rid of those damn bees

CAS is impossible in end game if every nation gets their best air defense system. What if only one nation does?

The whole thing about higher tiers is the military technology is at the point where “computers are everything”, which means the game play is as good as how Gaijin implements it and it becomes a point and click adventure game

F-111 has such system in-game along with every top tier helicopter. The new F-15 which is coming next update will also have it.
