I'm pretty sure the instructions on how to open it were referenced at least a couple times, then you tore it. XD I can't criticize too much, I didn't read the instructions as first and started to open it the exact same way. Good video!
If you have this card, i highly recommend overclocking it with the MSI Afterburner OC scanner. Mine is scoring about 26600 on G3D Mark (RTX3090 is 26598 on average) after overclocking.
@@staffxxl Just open your MSI afterburner, look for the magnifying glass on the left and click it, then just click scan. It will take a good 30-40 minutes to figure out the best possible stable result but it's well worth it. After it's done just click apply and save the profile.
It’s an excellent card. I am extremely pleased - would have loved to build a pc with it but had to settle for a prebuilt considering the absurd scalper prices and having found a good prebuilt price. But considering what the card should cost, or if you find a reasonably priced prebuilt it is a fantastic card for the price. I was initially not sure about a 3070vs 3080 but this can run everything I play either on my 4K tv at 60fps or on my 1440p 260hz monitor. Only in some very specific cases would I imagine wanting a 3080 over this, like future proofing considering the vram.
@@inSaNe_44 it's good, something around 75 max temp on hotspot after undervolt, in terms of a board itself it's one of the best 3070 you can get, the chip tems are lover than 60 and the power usage is dropped from 240-250 to 180 with the same, if not better, fps

@@DeckardGames yeah I actually had a conversation with ASUS support and reinstalled my drivers but the fans continue to kick up to near 100% and temps rise up to 84 C when playing games like Red Dead Redemption 2. Not sure if it’s just a bad card but I’m strongly considering returning it unfortunately.
AFAIK they're the same gpu, but the OC comes overclocked. You can overclock the normal one to get the same results, but... well, you have to do it (i bought the oc too ^^)
I have this card have you noticed any high temps running under load? Mine will reach temps of 82c get pretty loud, I have enabled a custom fan curve to keep the temps lower but I still have to open the glass panel on my case to keep the temps lower.
Yeah, I just did a 12 hr stint, and still running, nicehash. No custom fan curve but I've had consistent 60c temps. I also have the card switch flipped to performance. I have a mATX case and not RGB just the light from this card. Air flow is pretty decent in my case and since its winter the ambient room temp is fairly even but leans on the cooler side especially early in the AM. I guess check your BIOS settings. What CPU are you running with this thing and whats your current RAM speed set at? No expert just a few areas where you might look to that could be causing elevated temps. Learning everyday. My airflow isn't great which I think may be one of the issues, I have a Thermaltake h200 and the side glass panel constantly has hot air blowing against it from the card so I usually have to open the panel while gaming. My game room usually runs around 70 degrees fahrenheit, running a asrock b450 mobo with vengeance pro 3600mhz ram. Doesn't seem like anyone else is having any issues with temps, I thought it was my case but even with the case panel open demanding games are still running 68-72c
@@christopherellison7956 Yeah sounds like it might be specific to your card, which sucks. I've been trying a bunch of different overclocking settings and getting temps no higher that 78. Im in SoCal, its been fairly warm that last few days so my system in general has been running a bit hotter. Im on a B550 MSI board with a 3800x using vengeance lpx 3600mhz ram. I think you need to check your card a little more. The switch to the left should be quiet mode and performance should be to the left. I have a Thermaltake S100 case. It doesn't have a mesh front which I thought would be an issue but it seems like its not the much of a problem right now. I will see when the summer rolls around. If it keeps up I'd say contact Asus and see what they could do about it. I'd say make sure you have the most up to date drivers across the board, now that I think about it I feel like that is your issue. Let me know how it goes. Cheers.
This actually sucks cuz u are basically stuck with those lights and they cannot be changed, pretty lame, i hate when companies do this, either give us the adressabble rgb or don't give any, it just ruins the whole look of the build, i bought the leadtek 3070ti and it does shift egb colors randomly but the problem is that it cannot be changed, weird manufacturing practices...

Its a dual fan set up look up the specs of your case and look up the specs for this card. Its not that hard to do your own research. This card is ab 234 mm in length so im sure it will fit the h210
@@DeckardGames Good to know. I have the same case with a cpu cooler mounted on the front like yours. I just ordered the KO version of this card at 275mm. Looks like I could fit 280mm or less. Seems you still had some space there.

30 shows a little stuttering in my opinion, I think 40-50 is fine depending on how big the screen is. At 60 you wouldn't even know a difference unless you've only played on 120+, but we all tend to get carried away with wanting crazy benchmarks 😂

I like to look at fine detail in games like Metro Exodus and take my time so I ramp it up to ultra and to hell with the frame rate, where as Doom would be pushed down to a level where 60fps was minimum. Luckily with a RTX 3070 / Ryzen 5600X and a 1080p monitor I don't have to worry about compromise for the moment.

The 3070 continues to be faster than the 3060 6x.
With that 5th gen intel, my answer is get the cheapest one.

Do not buy this card. I've had to go through 2 RMAs now and each one has had a fan bearing break after just a week of use. The fans are cheap as hell.
