Fill the expansion tank with coolant until it reaches the MAX line on the sight tube. The small amount of air that got into the cooling system during installation will purge itself as you drive, so the coolant levels may change a bit as you drive. Be sure to check it again after putting in some miles.
As long as you don't lose any more coolant than what is in the tank you should not need to burp the system. All you should need to do is refill the tank.

If the OEM tank had a pressure crack in it I still should be good to go? Correct? And not need to burp the system?
That would depend on how much fluid was lost. To be safe, you could bleed the system again after install.

What is the main functional cooling advantage of this over stock?
The main benefit of a new expansion tank is durability over plastic. OEM plastic tanks tend to crack and fail when enduring constant heat cycles.
Looks mostly, but it obviously will last longer too. Stock bubble jug is ugly see through plastic. I love mine in hyper blue.
How will I know coolant levels with the new tank?
There is a sight tube on the side of the tank to make checking the coolant level easy!
