If you're an e-cigarette smoker, these are valid questions to ask yourself.
While electronic cigarettes have been marketed as a safer alternative to tobacco cigarettes, recent studies cast doubt on these assertions. These studies found that e-cigarette vapors kill large numbers of cells in the mouth and cause as much damage to teeth and gums as conventional cigarettes.
The reason for this is, even though vaping products do not contain the tar and other chemicals that tobacco cigarettes contain, vaping still contains nicotine.
Nicotine is an addictive chemical that causes a constriction of the blood vessels.
If the blood vessels in your mouth are constricted, it makes your gum tissue much more likely to recede or get exposed to disease causing bacteria and pathogens.
Vaping has also been shown to kill epithelial cells that line the mouth and make up the gum tissue. Killing or damaging these cells with smoking can have serious long term consequences.

Another study in the AAP News showed that Vaping among high school seniors doubled from 2017-’18.
Recent vaping also doubled for 10th-graders, from 8% to 16%, and rose from 3.5% to 6% for eighth-graders.

So if you've ever wondered if vaping is bad for you, search no further. Vaping still allows nicotine to enter the system as well as causes other health problems.
Compared to tobacco cigarettes, vaping is most likely better for your body overall, but that does not mean that it is good for you either. Occasional, vaping most likely won't have serious long term effects. However, you should avoid owning a vape, or frequent vaping if you possibly can!

Vapes are still bad for the lungs. I guess they still somehow dont know what actually happens, but i can say as someone who vapes my breathing is far more labored during physical activity than people who dont. If you havent tried, dont start.

I started vaping at 40 years old and quit at 42. Cause I knew I wanted my lungs Heathly so I check with the doctor. And they said I was still good and my lungs were recovering. And turning Heathly again!

nicotine may account for 99% of vaping, but there's also vaporizers which are medical grade which is called 'vaping' like the volcano digital vaporizer, which is mostly for medical cannabis use. and some other types of cannabis vaporizers. i feel like everyone just wants to say no to vaping, but doesn't mention the stuff i think about which i like to think is healthier than smoking cannabis.

Smoking weed is not healthy. It can be used as treatment, but not all treatments are risk-free. Weed is vastly safer, but still can cause damage to the cells in your mouth and throat.

Doc i went to the doctor for abdominal issues and when i got a ct scan they said my lungs were normal and i have been smoking since i was 13 now im 17 but i quit 3 weeks ago is that normal

Not all vape is the same. Some have very low nicotine. Some have none at all. Some of us are using it to quit smoking and reducing the harm cause by the cigarettes. Non smokers should NEVER START VAPING. Only use vaping to reduce harm and to eventually quit.
i wanna see studies made on zero nicc vapes. i've never smoked but vaped for years and haven't ever had nicotine either.
but i'm just one person and haven't had gum problems or cancer or w/e. but i'd love a large scale long form study to be certain.
btw the reason i vape was to cut out sodas, so it's like a flavour hit. it's both cheaper and healthier than drinking soda all day. AFAIK
@@JackPorter We need long term studies. Sadly we are the lab rats. Once we hit the end of our life is when they will be able to get the data. Another problem is that vape juice is all different. I dont know what they use in mass produced but in the bottles you buy at vape shops it can be a 50/50 mix of VG/PG or any combination. That will also cause problems with the data too.
